Christ, I knew FS15 sold well, but enough to have a custom wheel made for it? :psyduck:
Then again, that wheel is perfect for Euro Truck Simulator 2.. and if you could use the side panel independently, it would be a nice add-on to any joystick/flight-stick setup.

Being able to control the controls on the loaders with that will be incredible. What they need is 2 sticks though.

Or a set of a few levers.. id be interested in side panel only since I have a wheel.. and as mentioned the side panel could be helpful for flight sims or race sims too.

Depends on the loader controls. Forklift at work only has one control stick for movement and operating the forks.

If there is a mode switch button, you can operate the loaders and log grabbers fine.

It's going to be a gimmicky plastic piece of poo poo. There's no way Saitek are going to deliver anything on the level of G27 meets Warthog. It would cost an arm and a leg. They're going to put out a child's toy with limited degrees of rotation and other cheap compromises.

Speaking of fs15, the first dlc arrived.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/335290/

For those that cant view or want a tldr, it is the itrunner. A hooklift trailer with a few options including log hauling. However, this trailer doesn't have a grabber so you'll need a front loader.

Almost everything already in-game is a better alternative. Unless you really like this type of hardware or want to support Giants, I'd say pass on it or buy it when it goes on sale.

Yeah, I didn't see the point to it. I had a similar feeling to the version for fs13.

In other news, giants has been plugging away in other areas as well if you are not aware. First up, the amazone plantera self propelled sprayer we all miss from '13 is available to those that ordered '15 off giant's site as an xmas gift. It will eventually show up in everyone's hands I'm sure in some form.

Next up, the rest of the vaederstad and marshall equipment from those equipment packs in '13 but not in the base '15 game have also been converted:
Marshall: http://farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&mod_id=9528&title=fs2015
Vaederstad: http://farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&mod_id=9527&title=fs2015

Other mods they have made and released to this point:
Kuhn sower, 3.0m work width making it questionable other than brand loyalty: http://farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&mod_id=430&title=fs2015
Kuhn bailer: http://farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&mod_id=431&title=fs2015
Fliegl slurry spreader: http://farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&mod_id=432&title=fs2015

Note that all these mods were created by giants themselves.

You can get a free Train Sim DLC on this website: http://www.virtual-railroads.de/expert-line/e03-de.html

The offer lasts until the end of the year, and that website kinda works in English too, check the top right. There's also an English manual included.

This is an "Expert Line" train, touted as a train that simulates a whole lot more than the ones in the base Train Simulator game. More functional buttons to press on the dash, too.

I played around with it a bit, it's certainly the most complex train I've ever driven in. It takes a few minutes, with the manual next to me, just to get the locomotive ready to go. Before that, the Class 90 was the most advanced one I had, and it seems simple compared to this German loco.

AP and Waggonz have done a very good job on the 90, but vR really take things to another level. I have several of their expert line locos and it's a steep learning curve, especially when double heading and top and tailed configs come into play. I spent years playing flight simulator though, so spending an hour just to fire up the engines isn't exactly news to me ;)

Man, I hope you figured it out by now. I honestly don't remember off the top of my head even though I've played with a 360 controller as well.

Anyway, might have to load it up again, fs-uk just got spammed recently with an interesting set of script mods. These look to really make the multiplayer more interesting, particularly with a dedicated server. I haven't personally tested them yet, but they appear to be getting high marks on the site.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35800/bga-extension-mod
Alters how the biogas plant is handled. Basically changes it so there are up front and continual operating costs instead of being a public service like the base game. The larger the plant you want, the larger the upfront cost.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35799/fahr-silo-extension-mod
Bunkers are now divided into sections within each bunker. Each section has to be compacted and also computes fermentation results individually. Some new outcomes are also possible. It also seems you can't just mow a ton of grass and throw it in to be fermented like you can in the base game either.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35802/multi-mowing-mod
Basically allows you to move your crops down for their associated swaths. Also reads that it'll provide fertilization on the ground as well which could be handy.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35801/night-growth-mod
Perhaps the most useful for dedicated servers. Moves all growth to only happen at night. Default is 4 hours starting at midnight. If you were to leave the server operating at 1x speed, this will mean that you can plant your fields during the day without worrying about fields being in partial growth stages. Also, just fill in the rest of the time with animal husbandry or logging. Most likely logging. Do note that a day's full crop state change will still happen. It is just now compressed within a 4 hour window.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35797/green-manure-mod
This is a pretty nice mod. Your cultivators and plows get a second life when it comes to allowing fertilization. If you hit a crap before fully matured or even a withered crop, turning it back over to soil will give you fertile land for the next crop planted. No need to chase back with a sprayer.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35787/bale-extension
Changes the states for bales and tracks them individually. Pretty extensive changes here. Leaving bales out in the weather will also affect them.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35785/bale-feed-mod
This is mostly useful in the starter time. If you are doing a lot of logging with your free time because of the night mod, this probably won't be that useful. Basically, allows you to drop bales right into various use points previously reserved for trailer dumping or feeder wagon use.

Optionals:
http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35781/multi-fruit-mod This one I need to test some honestly. Adds multifruit to all maps. However, I don't know if the map needs to support it back with sell points, or if it hitches to existing sell points.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35779/drive-control-mod
Collection of various little things. Of note to most is manual ignition and a change to the dirt spec behavior.

http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/35789/gps-mod
Looks like it is just a way to do on field work in replacement of courseplay.

As was hinted at, these are just script changes. In other words, no special vehicle or map mods need to be downloaded as well to make these things work.

Well, compared to the meh reception to the it runner, the new jcb dlc seems to be hitting off well.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/345740/

Pack includes a skid steer with a bundle of attachments, two jcb tractors, a telehandler, and a wheel loader. All attachments shown are for the skid steer. The telehandler and wheel loader use their specific generics from the base game. Experience so far has been the skid steer has been much needed. It makes loading the wood chips out of the bin much easier than using the wheel loader. However, the bucket only holds 1700 units so be aware. It only has a reach equivalent to the grain container for the it runner when set on the ground. You could also just load the wheel loader's shovel from the skid steer as well if you want to go that route. I didn't try other trailers, but it does have a pretty limited height. You will want to use the loading trailer to get it to the work site though, it only tops out around 15mph.

Speaking of the wheel loader, the power on the jcb is nearly double the version that came with the game. I haven't played with it yet, but the people on fs-uk are gushing about how much an improvement it is. My only issue still is that I can't stand pivot steering like that.
