For some reason whenever I hear the voiceover guy in that commercial I think of Jon Stewart's George W. Bush impression. Somehow it doesn't seem unusual at all that George W. Bush would totally be into the guy who flies around knickknacks at the mall and eats boxed mac and cheese for dinner.

I don't get the hate for these commercials, I thought they seemed pretty funny and self-aware. Claiming that eating shells and cheese will make you like "That Guy You Know" isn't really a glamorous proposition. They are like the opposite of all those commercials that focus on how product x is used by attractive successful people who are more popular than you.

the "You kids have it easy" commercial from AT&T bugs the hell out of me.

The little kid has a friend over, and they're playing on a laptop and an IPad respectably.

The hell is the point of having your friend over if you're not going to go play outside, play a game inside, talk with him or hell..even just play a loving video game?

Go play with legos or hot wheels. Go make a movie with a camera, go shoot some hoops, go play madden head to head. Go ride your bikes, Go play in the woods, Don't waste your time watching "Gagnam Style" for the 50th time.

It just pisses me off.

Maybe you guys have been over this already, but is the couple from those DirecTV commercials with the big blue screen the same couple in a recent Discover card commercial? The Discover commercial is pretty nondescript; they're in an airport going on vacation in some tropical place.

If it is the same couple, are they like a package deal or something when they try for parts?

So sick of seeing and hearing the inescapable Windows 8 commercial with an uninspired remake of "Express Yourself" by Charles Wright. It's just some dude talking over the drum break to "Funky Drummer" by James Brown, and then you hear "EXPRESS YOURSELF!" and some horn stabs from the Charles Wright song, and that's about it. Talk about annoyingly unoriginal and lovely.

I hate that one, along with the Sandals beach resort commercial that has a "funky" version of "(I've Had) The Time of My Life". The one where the guy comes in right after the first verse and says "DOITALLAGAIN!" To me, it's the worst sort of lame, pandering-to-white-folks-in-an-attempt-to-sound-"hip"-and-"urban" type of jingle (which is especially dumb as it's advertising an island getaway vacation), and it makes me cringe whenever I hear it.
