Bisping is the definition of gatekeeper. He loses every fight where the winner is going to get a title shot, but wins just about every other fight.

that's what makes the Leites fight so interesting since if Thales does win I think that puts him in there with either Yoel or Jacare for the next, next guy to fight for the belt. All three of those guys will have like 6 fight win streaks under UFC so they're all deserving. But nobody has been talking about that so Bisping might get the win over him despite it being scientifically impossible.

I've never really thought of it before but Bisping is pretty comparable to Gleison Tibau, despite being the higher-profile fighter. Been around forever, overall good UFC record (16-7 vs 16-9 for Tibau), but really entirely lacking any kind of memorable or "signature" wins and has always come up short against the big names in the division.

To me his signature win was when he did the whole season against Mayhem, and lots of people thought it was gonna be a competitive fight and then Bisping just killed him, and ruined his life forever

Then there was the time Gleison looked like a terrifying murderer against Caol Uno due to him being about 3 weight classes higher than him come fight time. Though that's not memorable for any good reasons.
