March Comes in like a Lion didn't really do much for me. Technically nice looking but the lighter or more humorous moments kinda came off as too much or obnoxious to me

but i'll give it a few episodes to warm up. basically it's not the greatest first episode because, yeah, it does communicate that this Shounen Card Battle Game is sorta eerie and sketchy, but it simply doesn't do it as well as the first show did immediately

The first series is done now and I think you'd be better off seeing where this one wants to go, because the staff are so different that it's basically a new project.

He's completely overwhelmed by them even though they're not doing anything wrong, and in ways that I really enjoyed watching. It is too much and it is perfect.

Episode 2 of Magical Girl Raising Project ends with the stakes being raised. If you were wondering whether or not Fav was anything like Kyubey, you get a pretty clear answer.

Yeah i'm really looking forward to more of this show and how it develops. Flip flappers was also really fuckin fun and pretty even though i have no idea what was really happening, and drifters looks interesting from the first episode

time bokan seems like a totally ok, if formulaic, kids show, but it makes me laugh and it has a beetle mech so i'll keep watching

the second episode is way funnier than the first

I feel similarly to Parallax about the silly moments in Lion, even though I did enjoy the episode overall. devtesla's explanation makes sense and I like that way of thinking of it, but that sort of exaggerated-reaction humor is done so much in other shows without any deeper intent behind it that the intended effect here was lost on me.

I'm still interested in the show though, there was some way cool stuff in the premiere!

Girlish Number was pretty cool. It's interesting how everyone on the show, including the protagonist (probably less so her brother) is a shitheel. Chitose is the protag only by virture of her being kind of sympathetic. Good show.

Ping Pong Girl is a pretty good sports/slice of life anime by the looks of the first episode. Kind of reminded me of Saki with the new timid girl basically destroying everyone and the "Mahjong Ping pong sure is fun".

Also, the ending song is sung by Wake up Girls. I didn't realize they were still an active unit.

She's also a two faced jerk though? She's lazy and selfish but turns on a bright smile around people she thinks she should impress. That's, like, her main character trait. The impression I got was just that she's not as good at switching on and off, compared to the veterans.

I dunno, she's still a jerk but to me it seemed like she was less of a jerk than the other VAs.

This was my impression too.

I really liked the show, for whatever it's worth. It kept a smile on my face the whole time.

I dunno, the younger voice actor seemed about the same level of jerk to me. Like, the worst thing she did was not remember a name, but seemed to otherwise be honestly friendly and realistic about what her job is. And the older one just seemed pissed off that she signed up to be an actor but is instead treated as an idol, which is sympathetic enough to me. I took the show to be about everyone being a jerk, but sympathetic jerks. No character is spared, but that's fine by me.

I like the way it's building up too. The question of course is How long is it going to take for someone to get knocked off that somebody else knows in their secret identity and who's it going to be? Sou-chan's the only one we know of for sure, and they made a real show of pointing out that everyone else kept their cards every close to their vests. I hope they don't have more than, say, another two episodes of nameless magical girl deaths before the deathmatch starts. As a side note, I could have SWORN that Nemurin (as opposed to Nemu, the RL girl) was being voiced by Aki Toyosaki, but I was apparently very wrong.

Girlish Number was fun and also very pretty, and I'm going to keep watching it assuming it gets picked up by a regular subbing group, since I got the impression the MangnAvalon person is solo and it's their first project. I have no idea how the protagonists are supposed to afford to live in that apartment on what is presumably one mostly-commission-based mid-level production salary and whatever pocket change Chitose makes from her bit roles.

Also, my downstairs neighbours laugh exactly like Gojou's boss, it's freaky.

Long Riders is a cute show, but nothing much happens, and it feels like it's main aim is to serve as an introduction to biking. It's not really hilarious, but it's not offensive either. If you just want to shut off you brain and stare at cute things, this show is fine, but if you want more sustenance than that, I would recommend a lot of other slice of life shows before it. This show also has the same problem Bakuon!! did, using ugly CG for the bicycles.
