It's still an autoattack, so yes.
The difference is just creep interaction with reading what mouse button you click.

Having played 4x maelstrom sniper in the new patch yesterday, it's a buff not a nerf unless you needed the stuns. You still do insane damage but they cannot run from anyone because the increased duration means the move slow and attack slow is up 100% of the time easy. It's better than drow frost arrows!

I have to say that sometimes it feels like the matchmaker just fucks you over royally. I just finished a game where we lost handily and checking dotabuff told me that the enemy had played 1.2k games at 50% wins and one of our guys had a W:L record of 66:108. Add this to the fact that another one of my teammates still had his newbie xp boost going and I think that maybe it could've tried a bit harder.

I'm absolute shite myself in case anyone wonders. No surprise there
