She has an ethical thing about messing with people's brains directly, but she can oversee Limosa to make sure he's being truthful/careful. edit: Keep in mind she created a complete simulation of your brain in order to not scan it directly. Bit of effort there.

#3 is what I think looks closest to what the Beast looks like. It even has a big cannon stuck on the prow. Probably not so hot on moving targets, but works well enough on stationary targets, like space stations and planets.

Athena brain surgery sounds reasonable. It's not like she couldn't make us do whatever she wanted anyway.

Okay, so current trend is Athena does brain surgery, and Limosa gives you some memory filters. Correct?

We have medicea mechadendrites and if we didn't perform our own surgery we wouldn't deserve the title of Magos.

Painboy. I like #4. Very hierarchical with the Great buildings sticking up out of the common mass of the ship, like a Hive Spire. The vaguely Greek look reminds me of Reign: the Conqueror. I don't know if that's a good thing

I am all for using the items and abilities we used experience on getting, but I am not sure if it is wise to use the medicea mechadendrites to perform brain surgery on ourselves, are we really skilled enough for that? Better to leave it alone I think.

I'm not in favor of operating on ourselves. I am, however, in favor of keeping the Statler and Waldorf mechendrites up and functional throughout the process.
