Given almost every current driver could beat Webber (Mehri is the exception) he really doesn't understand just how poo poo he actually is. Worst pool was mid 90's to mid 00's and is the main reason why Schumacher won so many titles as he was for most of it the only great driver.

Were they really that poo poo or were they just not as good as Mickey Shoe? I seem to remember a bunch of them being totally reasonable, they just never got anywhere against the unstoppable cheat-powered Schumacher juggernaut. Certainly the midfield drivers from then take a massive dump on the ones today: Alesi, Berger, Herbert, Frentzen are all a lot better than non-entities like Perez.

Of the 20 guys we have currently who are truly pay drivers? Stevens, Mehri, Ericsson, Nasr and Maldonado?
Obviously Stevens and Mehri are pootling around in a poo poo car, but they seem to be doing a good job of not getting in the way or being dangerous, unlike a lot of backmarkers of the past. Ericsson and Nasr are doing a lot better job in a pretty poor Sauber than the majority of the shite not pay drivers Red Bull and Toro Rosso have pumped into the sport over the last 10 years and Maldonado is in his own special category.

At least the pay drivers we have at the moment race for the whole season and are half decent. It doesn't feel like there's any particularly shockingly bad drivers out there. If you look 10 years ago you have Doornbos, Liuzzi, Friesacher, Albers, Karthikeyan, Monteiro, Klien and Jacques Villeneuve making GBS threads up the field, and that's not counting the one or two race subs like Davidson, de la Rosa and Wurz. Even up in 5th you have loving Fisichella. Go back another 10 years and it's even worse! Webber's just having a moan.

Schumacher is Hamilton. Obviously.

Switch DC and Mika in 2nd and 3rd and they match the 2015 version = Nico and Seb. Nico is this era's DC and Seb is the loveable, funny man WDC fighting with the number 1 driver.

4th place Rubens couldn't be anyone but Massa.

5th place poo poo Kimi is 5th place poo poo Schumacher. Two drivers who both got paid waaaaay more than they were ever worth.

6th place Fisi is Bottas. A classic tale of an F1 driver who has "potential" and is "a future champion" but will never, ever get there.

7th Kyvvayat and Villeneuve. One got into F1 because of his father and the other got in because of his mother(land)

8th Button and Ricciardo. gently caress me, Button is old.

9th HHF and Big John. Can two drivers scream "future sports car driver" more than these two?

10th .....yes. Trulli and Perez.

I give up.
