That's the second-worst wreck I've seen involving a lapper on a plate track.

ARCA has a rule where a pit stop is mandatory within the last 10 laps of a race? What the poo poo? e- I misunderstood: https://twitter.com/adam1alexander/status/698633167486504963 That makes more sense, not that anyone could make 70 laps at Daytona on a run. Junyer, Kes, Larson, Kyle. One of the four's got the best chance to be my Gordon replacement. It's got a good chance of being Junyer. I want to go to his house and play NES games he's bought off eBay with him.

Oh just dawned on me on that faux traffic chase. One of my father's good friends posted of pictures of Gordon's last race car in a warehouse in southern California. So that was used as a prop in that.

L_Harrison posted:So who's still excited for NASCAR? Not excited but I've watched it for 35+ years. It has its ups and downs but racing is racing and I'll watch it regardless of the complaining. We sponsor Jennifer Jo Cobb a few times a year so I get some pretty cool perks, like her showing up at my work a couple weeks ago and ending up on her periscope while trying to not be. I'm supposed to be at Daytona next week but I doubt I'll go, rather just watch it on my dvr.

Just turn the volume down a bit, and then just follow twitter/IRC during the race. After that go to synch tube and watch bad rear end random poo poo that Viking, CBJ and others post. Repeat as many times as necessary.

I'm still excited and my empty-quote of BMB's post was because I couldn't have said it better. I just hate that we're so Quintessential now that the publishing of purse money is not "contemporary". Also: quote:NBC Sports has learned that some “open teams” are expecting to earn a minimum of roughly $160,000 for finishing last in the Daytona 500. Last year, under the race purse that included contingency plans, the last-place finisher earned $262,000. http://nascar.nbcsports.com/2016/02/13/nascar-discontinues-providing-race-winnings-in-box-scores/
