I don't know about you, but when I was younger, Choose Your Own Adventure books were among my favorites. These books would attempt to get the reader involved by giving them choices along the path of the story; at the end of reading several pages, you'd be presented with a choice, and would flip to a specified page depending on what path you chose to follow. Pretty good stuff. Here's an example cover in case you've never seen one before:

This thread, however, is about the many Choose Your Own Adventure books that tragically didn't make the cut. :(

Source material is available here, and the font (Revue) for the newer covers is here (thanks to fuckingtest for identifying it).

Great so far but I sadly lack photoshop. :(

This thread actually reminded me of how morbid some of those books were.
I remember reading mountain survival in 4th grade and some of the endings were you die were quite grisly in detail.

Mountain Survival was my favorite one.

Anyone know what the name of the font is on these books?

"Journey to the Year 3000" was the best choose your own adventure book. Time travel, plus interplanetary travel, plus Earth being ruled by a cruel dictator. How can you lose?

And if you've read the one about the black hole, do not press button 2. Do not press 2 for the love of god :(

Ah I loved these books.

I remember one where you are shipped off to a new amusement park to help test it out, but everything goes haywire. I decided to try and stay out of trouble by hanging out in the hotel, and what happens? I electrocute myself in the bathtub.

Poor kids, they can't ever seem to keep from dying.

RL Stine did make some Goosebumps CYOAs, the first one was the theme park one mentioned earlier. He also made some non-Goosebumps CYOA, I only got one of those back in my childhood and it sucked (something about mummies).
