Directed by: Jeff Schaffer Starring: Scott Mechlowicz, Jacob Pitts At a glance: Eurotrip is from the guys who did Road Trip and Old School. It's not really a sequel to Road Trip, it's more of a variation of it. Summary: After Scotty graduates from high school, his girlfriend Fiona dumps him because "he's so predictable." He cries about it on camera! After his friend Cooper and his little brother laugh at him about it, they convince him to forget Fiona and go to the graduation party, where (surprise, surprise), Scotty finds out that Fiona has been cheating, through song no less! That night, Scotty got an e-mail from his German pen-pal asking him if he wanted to "arrange a meeting." He gets disgusted because Cooper warned him before about the "internet perverts" that try to rape people. The next day, he finds out his pen pal "Micah" is actually a female! It turns out she was the cute girl in the picture that was sent to him...and that was after he sent a threatening e-mail back telling her to "keep your hands off my genitals and never contact me again!" Meanwhile, back in Berlin, Micah reads the e-mail, and blocks Scotty. Cooper suggested that they go to Berlin to find Micah. They become couriers and fly to England because there's nothing in Berlin for a week. Cooper just goes along so he can experience kinky European sex! So they travel all around Europe, from England, to Paris (where they meet up with fellow graduates, and twins, Jenny and Jamie, who accompany them for the trip), to Crans Sur Mer (a nude beach), to Amsterdam (where they get robbed), Bratislava (Eastern Europe), and finally, Berlin. Best feature: The shenanigans in Amsterdam, the Robo-Mime battle in Paris, the crazy trucker they hitch a ride with, Bratislava is poor and stuck in the 80's, Jenny and Jamie make out with each other (they're brother and sister.) Worst feature: When the Manchester United fans in England ask Scotty and Cooper to sing the Manchester United theme song, Scotty does the worst ad-libbing (he sang "My Baby Takes the Morning Train," and it turns into a cheer) and it's apparently the right song. Spoiler: Scotty learns that Micah is on a tour group that is going to Rome, and the gang doesn't have any money. Jamie sells something valuable, so they all go to Rome. They pretend to be a tour group and get into the Vatican, but Jamie was asked to be a guide for another tour group because one of their English guides is sick. Scotty and Cooper look around for Micah. They accidentally ring the bell that notifies that the Pope is dead, and the people of Rome mourn. Cooper then puts on the Pope's hat and pretends to be the Pope, and sets it on fire. This fire produces smoke, which signals that they elected a new Pope. Scotty spots Micah. He's got the Pope hat on. He goes out to try and talk to Micah, but gets caught in the curtain, and the people of Rome think he's the new Pope. Meanwhile, the REAL Pope is watching it on TV. Scotty then takes off the Pope's clothes and gets to the ground by sliding down the carpet on the wall. The guards inform him that he and his "retarded" friend Cooper are in big trouble. Then, the Manchester United fans come and save them. Scotty then comes up to Micah to tell her that he came all this way to tell her he loves her. They have sex in a confessional. An old woman comes in to confess and accidentally gets mooned by Micah. Jamie gets hired to be a tour guide at various museums in Europe. Cooper gets a new office and a raise. On the plane, Cooper makes out with Jenny. Back in America, Scotty decides to major in German, and Cooper and Jenny are dating. Scotty's new roommate is Micah. They make out. THE END. Rating: 4/5. It's no Road Trip, but it's worth at least a rent.
