I would put this between Road Trip and Old School, with Road Trip being the worst of the three. The pen pal's name is Meike (pronounce Mee-kah) but Scotty thinks it's pronounced "Mikey". He thinks his pen pal is a guy, and is obviously disgusted when he gets hit on. He is further confused by the picture he was sent, featuring a guy and a very hot girl. He thinks the girl's name is Jan (as in Janet) when it's, obviously, the guy (Yon). Scotty isn't very bright for a guy who speaks fluent German. I haven't laughed so hard at a film in quite awhile. In fact, I think Elf was the last movie that made me laugh like this one did. If you need more convincing, here you go. David Hasselhoff. Singing. In German. And a French mime getting kicked in the nuts.
