Directed by: Greg Huson Starring: Scott Weinger, Brad Hawkins, Lindsey McKeon, Juleah Weikel http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Slasherfan%202/Shredcover.JPG http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Slasherfan%202/Shred1.JPG A group of snowboarders go on a weekend ski trip to an abandoned Ski lodge that one of them has just bought, not knowing that a few years ago snowboarders caused the death of a young girl. But someone else is there who doesn't like snowboarders and starts doing some shredding of their own. http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Slasherfan%202/Shred2.JPG Shredder is one of the better DTV slasher offerings and I think it's really good. It has alot more energy then most. The movie is just fun from begining to end. The characters are quite likable, the cast look like they are having a blast making the movie. The direction is pretty slick, lots of great shots and the soundtrack really suits the movie. http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Slasherfan%202/Shred3.JPG The death scenes are pretty gory and alot of fun, we get a screwdriver to the head, chopped off fingers, chopped off heads and some stabbings. The humor works pretty well, I loved the joke about one character being hung on the ski lift and no one seems to notice even though she passes them at times. http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Slasherfan%202/Shred4.JPG The movie actually has a plot, the lodge closed down years ago due to the death of a little girl by snowboarders. The movie throws enough suspects at us so I wasn't able to guess who the killer was. http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Slasherfan%202/Shred5.JPG If I have anything negitive to say it would probably be there was a section of the movie about twenty minutes in where it seemed to drag a bit, nothing seems to be happening for a bit. Other then that I found Shredder to be a blast and would recommend it to fellow horror fans. If you don't like Slasher movies I would advise you to skip it though. RATING: 4.5 PROS: Good plot, gory deaths. CONS: Drags at parts. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0282163/
