I think someone did this thread a long time ago, but I missed it the first time around and pretty much all of the video clips are gone now. The few I managed to find were great, though, so I'd like to try another round. Take a scene from a movie and ruin it with inappropriate soundtrack. Music, sound effects, speech.. whatever. And to start with, I present my contribution: The Shawshank Redemption (2.2megs) The Shawshank Redemption (2.2megs) (Mirror) edit: My second video.. 2001 (2.2megs) xdrquinnx fucked around with this message at Nov 30, 2004 around 12:46 |

Glorious memories of "It's Rainin' Men!" are flooding back. Awesome effects when the shot cuts to the outside.

That was absolute genius. You have ruined one of my favourite movies and I'll forever laugh when watching that scene. Thank you :)

Even though it was kind of predictable, the choice of music made me smile. Nice use of effects too.

That was fantastic :v: Excellent work making it sound like it was coming out of a crappy prison intercom system, and the choice of music was outstanding.

Excellent, nicely done. I was actually surprised at your choice of scenes and music.

Very awesome work. I stumbled on the Robocop/Safety Dance video from the last thread a while back, and it was fantastical.

:laffo: How did you restore the clicks when he turns on the intercom? Edit: This is harder than I thought. I can't think of anything that isn't just melodramatic scene/cheesy light-hearted music. Edit2: \/\/\/:2monocle: Pleasing Shape fucked around with this message at Nov 30, 2004 around 01:37 |

Posting to say I remember the old thread and it was great. Also --- amazing job on the reverb and the restoring the clicking, that was simply top notch.

Hahah, oh man I loved the last thread and love you for reviving it. I'm gonna have to go through my junk partition and see if I still have any of the old ones still on there. I still can't watch the opening of Saving Private Ryan without hearing in my head that drat "The Tide is Low" song or whatever its called.

The one from Equilibrium is interesting because the new music makes the scene come off exactly as it would if Will Smith starred instead of Batman

And SoundForge to do the audio effects. The most annoying part was just getting the movie from DVD to a format I could edit. Everything else was pretty straightforward..
