Directed by: Liv Ullman (written by Ingmar Bergman) Starring: Lena Endre, Erland Josephson, Krister Henriksson, Thomas Hanzon An unusual idea, and the themes are pure Bergman, but excessive narration bogs it down. Lots of long flashbacks with voice-over telling us how the characters are feeling. It's very cold and distancing. Show, don't tell. Underdeveloped and overlong at 150 minutes, but a few moments of revealing insight make it somewhat worthwhile. RATING: 3 PROS: good idea, good script CONS: too long, poor narrative structure ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0157122/
