This was the absolute slowest action movie I've ever seen. Typically you'd want this movie to keep plowing forward to the next fight scene or explosion, but instead Underworld: Evolution drags along with almost every scene having several beats of silent scenery shots. There seemed to be very little dialogue in the movie as a whole, and several of those lines were repeated over and over, as flashbacks and the like. When an action sequence qould finally come up it'd be downright boring, with very poor effects in comparison to other movies released in the past couple months. I liked the first one as mindless fun just fine, but Evolution was quite painful to sit through. 2/5
