Brad Sucks has his entire catalogue free for download on his site. You can get his first album "I Don't Know What I'm Doing", aswell as the remixed version and loads of other remixes. If you like him enough you can also donate some cash. He's probably one of the best artists nobody has ever heard of.

Horray! Another SA thread where I can shamelessly promote my music! This is my first two CDs, both experimental . Campus Green - And That Warm Fuzzy Feeling Campus Green - Is This Is Music? And my new CD, less experimental. Timber! - Oh My Goodness! EDIT: There are hunreds of mp3s at ubuweb. All of them are experimental/avant garde but, there are tons by really great artists incluiding John Lennon and Paul Mccarthy, John Cage, Frank Zappa, Laurie Anderson, ee cummings, Phillup Glass, Samuel Beckett, Willaim S. Burroughs, and on and on. They also have tons of weird movies too. http://www.ubu.com/sound/index.html Kid in Bed fucked around with this message at 14:52 on Aug 3, 2006 |

The Wilco roadcase http://wilcoworld.net/roadcase/index.php They change it up every month or so. I really liked the last one, it was Jeff Tweedy performing a solo concert like the one on "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart", the documentary on Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Motel de Moka is a great mp3 blog from Mexico. They have lots of electronic stuff, and each update usually includes around five new tracks. A lot of the text is in Spanish, but I just download the mp3s. White Noise Revisited is the new Spoilt Victorian Child. It's an interesting blog that always has well-written reviews of the songs they post, which range from jazz, classical, and rock to other, stranger, non-genres.

I saw My Brightest Diamond open for Sufjan Stevens last night and found a few MP3s on their site and their Myspace. The band consists of a female singer\guitarist with an incredible voice, a string quartet, drums and bass. Reccomended if you like Portishead, Rasputina, Sufjan, The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra (that specific album) and, of course, free .mp3s http://www.mybrightestdiamond.com/ edit-you can also stream the album TC_ fucked around with this message at 00:18 on Sep 28, 2006 |

quote:An instrumental rock band from London, England, Loss of a Child use pianos, string sections, guitars and drums to create a classically-influenced post-rock noise. With elements boarding on quiet ambience and others with distorted guitars and crashing drums, the ambitious nature with the classical instruments sets Loss of a Child apart from many leftfield acts, producing a hugely epic sound. Sugar Blaster posted:Harvey Danger. They released their third album for free download last fall, and if you've ever even taken a casual interest in this band, I'd reccomend checking it out.
