The circle really has to be red for it to make sense, but I'm struggling to think of a colour the R could be set to. Maybe black with a white outline instead, maybe the same grey as the GSX, maybe use the same blue and white that (almost) all GSX-Rs seem to use. Yeah, I was struggling with the R/slash interaction. I suppose I could just use Suzuki blue for the R, but the red R is pretty iconic.

Somebody linked to this crazy air-cooled Wankel powered bike, and I clicked through to find this: the Goldammer Notorious quote:Roger Goldammer has created some pretty wild custom motorcycles over the years, but to our eyes, his 2007 ‘Notorious’ is the best of the lot. It’s a modern take on a Norton Manx cafe racer, with a featherbed-styled frame housing one half of a Harley V-twin. That single cylinder is a substantial 965cc though, and force-fed by a Rotex supercharger running 20 pounds of boost. The oversized headlight, slanted back in the modern style, is actually from a VW Beetle—and the drum on the front wheel is hiding four-piston disc brakes. The finish is up to Goldammer’s usual extraordinary standard, but there’s little paint on this bike: most of the bodywork is clear coat over bare metal. Delicious. E: actually, that entire site is amazing. There's some crazy custom based of an FZR100 with the supercharger from a Mini Cooper S grafted on. VV yeah, the ludicrously large supercharger belt up the side really makes it. I just clicked through the entire site, very very very awesome stuff on there. Because I took a vid today but premier tells me that it's not a supported file. Only thing I can edit it with is Windows movie maker. Strange, their site says Video Format: MJPEG, 30 fps, saved as .AVI file, and motion JPEG isn't exactly a strange format, surely one I'd think Premiere could handle. There might be some codec you have to download, but if Windows Movie Maker can handle it, I would have guessed you already have that codec installed.

Slim Pickens posted:I wanted to try out slow motion stuff but had a lot of shake from a sticky tripod. Not sure if it's just a crap tripod, but you may want to just try and loosen up the locking nuts a bit. Photo tripods are really built for holding still instead of smooth motion, but if you loosen everything up a bit you can pan and tilt a bit smoother. A tripod specifically made for video cameras is a huge improvement though.

Zool posted:I does look like the swing arm pivot and front sprocket are aligned. The advantage is no change in chain tension while the suspension moves. The disadvantage, is no anti-squat(it will wheelie instead of accelerate). That and the pegs are mounted to the motor housing, hence unsprung. While the weight of the engine and rider may not make much difference being at the pivot point, I don't know if I'd like to have all the movement of the rear swingarm transmitted through my feet while I'm riding.

They work pretty well together, but I'd cut the # used in each scheme by at least half. And maybe it's just me being "functional" but I'd relocate the rear pegs so that they're mounted on the frame instead of the rear swingarm. Might sully the lines a bit, but that way your legs won't be flopping around with the rear shock travel. Cool looking design though, digging the big swoopy curve of the forks/plastics/seat.
