I've been in a car when the driver decides to be a douche and it's a loving helpless feeling. I doubt all the passengers were cool with what the driver was doing, they could have been scared but just didn't say anything. I feel no pity for the driver whatsoever.

I can't even imagine what that must have sounded like to the neighbors. They're still waiting on the toxicology reports, they believe the driver was probably drunk which would explain the "miscalculation". Not to mention going those speeds, at night, on an unlit runway is really dumb, his decision making was obviously impaired. He was either drunk, retarded, or both.

Thanks to my three year old son I've been watching lots of Monster Jam videos lately, and ran across this very well done Grave Digger video with multiple POV's. If you aren't impressed by the HP and torque numbers or the amount of air he's able to get with a 10,000 pound machine I don't know what to tell you..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJNZQpSSefc

Yeah, same thing I thought until my son took a liking to it and I started watching it with him. The amount of air these things can get is incredible, and they're pushing HP numbers beyond Top Fuel dragsters. I'm taking my son to a Monster Jam event at the end of January here in Tampa and I think I'm more excited than he is

Toucan Sam posted:Monster Jam events are easily the best bang for the buck in motorsports. You get to meet the drivers, see the trucks, and it's pretty cheap. I was surprised how cheap the tickets are ($15 and $25), and all I have to do to get free pit passes is stop by a local Ford dealer. Ear protection is a gimmie, I've got a nice set of Remington earmuffs for my son and I'll just go with ear plugs. Depending on how well the pit experience goes I may just post a thread with pics.

Maybe he was worried about the rear floating up and losing traction? I guess I probably would have done it too, just in case. I don't understand why those cars just sat there and no one besides the 4x4 guy thought to move them. Maybe they said F it, let insurance take care of it?

They had plenty of time before it got too dangerous, and it was pretty clear the water was rising quickly. I dunno, unless my car had full coverage and zero deductibles I'd be out there moving it at the first sign of rising water anywhere near it.

The reflash is a pretty popular mod for Vics, apparently it improves the transmission shifting big time. I've been meaning to do it to mine, but I have to rebuild the front end and upgrade the suspension first.

To be fair, that's some pretty dangerous street racing they are doing, if they want to hoon their cars they could easily afford to rent a track. Take all your cars to the 'ring for christ's sake and race them all you want, I don't get why they need to gently caress off in down town London.

And then in the next video you hear people laughing, those guys almost drowned it's hilarious! Glad I don't race cars wherever that is. [edit] Crosspost from another thread.
