Angst posted:What the hell did I just watch? Maybe this makes me not on the cutting edge of humor, but I just don't get it. I hated Tom Goes to the Mayor because it was the same crap: unfunny jokes beaten into the ground with a hint of homosexuality. You thought b'owl was a poop joke? have you ever seen a children's toy commercial? it was a spot on parody, especially the "now b'owl's for BOYS" part. The fact that a hideous bat-owl monster is a toy for little girls is why it's funny. And that look Bob Odenkirk gives as he throws it away? That is the essence of comedy. robot roll call fucked around with this message at 06:17 on Feb 12, 2007 |

But for some reason, I went ahead and bought tickets to their live show at the Croc in Seattle this saturday... I don't know if this is going to suck or not, but I guess $10 a pop isn't too bad. And there is this incredibly tiny bit glimmer of hope in me tbat Odenkirk might be around as well... If anything, being in a room full of people laughing makes them funnier. They are INSANE live. You'll have a great time.

The great thing about this show is that the skits are so short and the funny stuff is so funny that even when something isn't working for you, something else probably will within the next 2 minutes. Also as far as subtle jokes go, the faces Micheal Cera makes while he's being jostled by those huge guys and then as he is raising his wine glass at the table crack me up every single time. That kid is hilarious.

Gary Busey. That video is loving insane. I can't believe that guy.

Senor Bambos posted:Can anyone run down what exactly it was Gary Busey did? I used to find him to be one of the more interesting celebrities, but in recent years I was beginning to think his "craziness" was just an act. let's see if I can remember: They paid him 1000 dollars to say a couple lines on TGTTM he comes in and he is a total rear end to Tim and Eric he'll read a line and be like "this is terrible, totally amateur. why would the audience believe this line? you've got to appeal to their HEARTS and their SOULS" and all this INSANE poo poo like that, he's just totally condescending to Tim and Eric over maybe 5 lines he has to read. He then proceeds to tell Tim "you're fired" and tries to rewrite the lines himself. The video is 7 minutes long. They said he was there for the better part of 5 or 6 hours. To record 5 lines. It's not a joke video either. He is very clearly insane.

NO ONE who compares THIS show to CKY poo poo deserves to watch the show. I can't even BEGIN to see how you are clawing together a comparison, but knock it off. Because you obviously have to be a fan of Bam to recognize a parody I hate those shows too, but so what if someone likes them and Awesome Show? We also got to meet the guest star of the episode, Robin Williams. no kidding? t and e are going places. I hope they get Goldblum to do an episode of Awesome Show, that would be great.
