My code word will be: Endurance.

I don't understand how someone could think making a movie that is almost entirely in slow-motion would be exciting. I was extremely bored during this movie. More bored than I can remember watching a movie.

Yes it all looked very pretty, but by slowing down the action they simplified it. Not to mention it smacks of the creators being so full of their art style they don't want you to miss a second of it.

Also, while a plot doesn't necessarily have to follow the typical build to a climax and then wrap up the story, I think it should always do that in a summer action blockbuster. The coolest fight was the very first one, shown partially in real-time, and for a little while they actually used some cool tactics with the shields. By about half-way through the movie they had fought Xerxes elite guard, and from there it was basically a half hour or so of straight exposition with little action. They then ended it in the most obvious and annoying way possible. The climax of an action movie should be an action scene, not some exclamation of "FREEDOM" or whatever.

It looked pretty, but I was so bored I wanted to leave. 1/5.
