Internal visors are horrible. They don't provide complete coverage, resulting in the "sun blinding you from the side around the visor effect. They are also bulky as hell and every helmet with them looks retarded. Anyone using them should be dragged off their bikes and beaten within an inch of their lives.

I didn't read anything about exactly how this fancy helmet works, but I'm pretty sure just like any mirror she could tell you were looking at her.

looking at leather jackets to replace the gorgeous triumph jacket some piece of poo poo lowlife took out of my car (I'm not bitter)

anyway, the following seem pretty badass to me

the Spidi JK

http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Spidi_JK_Leather_Jacket--650448.html

I think it looks pretty sweet in brown or black. However, their sizing chart reflects dimensions that do not remotely resemble mine or any other fully grown male I know. Is this because their stuff doesn't fit or they just have a tenuous grasp of size charts? Is Spidi a good brand? Does anyone have any exprience/guidance.

Alpinestars Drift

retro and groovy--I think their stuff fits pretty slim: correct?

You don't buy anything Italian for its practicality. Dainese uses beautiful materials, they're tough as nails, and the smug factor is off the charts. That's the best looking jacket of the three. Go for it.

A classmate of mine wears a leather Dainese and he seems happy with it. This is Dallas, 100 degree heat with high humidity, so it is probably alright. I'll ask him on Saturday and get ya the details.

Anyone heard of or had experience with a brand called VEGA?

I was in a dealership today and they had this helmet (solid color)
http://www.vegahelmet.com/v-tune.html
on sale for like $170 or something. The features I was interested in were the flip down the visor and built in bluetooth.

I'm going to assume no one has, but if you have, let me know!

My brother has a cheapo helmet made by them. Looks like it will protect you decently in a crash but I'd rather spend more on my helmet and be sure of it.

There is an idea of a Yuns, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.
Do not buy helmets made by Advanced Carbon Composites. They made several helmets that they claimed met DOT requirement but failed to meet requirements. They then recalled and "fixed" the helmets as well as design a new helmet but the "fixed" and the new design all failed as well. They have now entered into a consent decree that bars them from ever making helmets ever again.

http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/28/motorcycle-helmet-maker-forced-to-end-production/

Here is their site:

http://www.carbonfiberhelmets.com/

They appear to have removed all the motorcycle helmets from the site and only show kayak helmets now.
