It's pretty amazing how they hosed something up as simple as copying legos. However, "lego" style pieces with autobot/decepticon symbols on them were worth the 25 cents I paid

I've Just been to Toys R Us in Manchester and they have a huge transformers display at the front of the store. They have all the fast action battlers, Leader Prime and Megs, Voyager Ratchet and Blackout and various other items as well didnt see any deluxes. They also have Cybertron Primus on sale for £25, might go back tomorrow and buy one. They still don't have the classics I am missing though, think I might have to pay ebay prices for them .

Ugh, I'm starting to hate this town more than usual I just noticed this post. The Walmart on Pinhook had a fairly decent selection of movie toys last time I was there. I'm gonna hit Target and Wal-Mart again today in a vain effort to pick up the new Deluxes (priority ones for me are the armored car and '08 Bumblebee, although I also want the lowrider pickup truck and tow truck, and to a lesser degree Dreadwing and Arcee). I'm just waiting for an employee to show up so I can fix his timeclock, so I don't have to deal with it tomorrow morning when I'm writing paychecks and poo poo.

Hi, I thought I should introduce myself after lurking for a couple of months. I had avoided buying new toys since Energon (with the exception of Primus) till I started reading this thread, and now no longer feel quite so bad about blowing so much money on toys. I’m thinking I’m going to get the Jhiaxus avatar as soon as I find a good quote from my G2 comics, though suggestions are welcome. Oh, and I’ll be online with the DS games as “Blaargh”. As for my latest sightings and purchases, there are a couple of noteworthy bits. First, has anyone else seen the three-pack of movie deluxes at Sam's Club? It’s $24.77 US, and has Jazz taking on two Decepticons (which ones escapes me at the moment though). I haven't grabbed it yet, but they still had plenty of them as of Thursday. My other sighting was at the local TRU where they still had 8 reissue Soundwaves. They even had 6 or 7 Primus figures left as well. I grabbed a Soundwave and a got me a free Spy Shot 6.

I grabbed the little MP3 guy yesterday. Booster something or another. Pretty awesome little bird. The only complaint is the bluetooth? headset thingie that he comes with has to have the lamest "transform!" option ever. You pull a peg downward to stick it onto his back. That's it. No extra fold out laser gun or missile rack or anything, just a friggin peg so that it looks like the headset is jumping a tiny bird. Kinda sucks his neck isn't flexible, or at least hinged ala Lazerbeak, but it is definitely worth the 8 bucks he cost. No luck with TRU here, they have some titanium soundwaves, but no re-issues. Had about 10 leader class Megatrons, so I dunno if they are shortpacked or what. He looks kinda crappy though. If I was a kid, I wouldn't want him to play with. The other guys all look kinda normal (cept for Scorponok), but Megs looks kinda ... odd. Maybe its the grey on grey with pink, and more grey paintjob...

Went looking again today while I was out, still nothing. Toys R Us looked like it had been hit by a tornado. A very slim selection of deluxe Wreckages and Scopinoks, at least 4 movie leader megatrons and a bunch of legends, FABs and OP helmets, Ironhides and Starscreams. Oh they also had a ton of the new WWI Megatron vs. Optimus 2 packs titaniums. Walmart had even less. Bonecrushers, Swindles and lots of Starscreams. I'll check one last time tomorrow before I buckle and buy leader Brawl online.

Think I'll actually get up and head to the Lynnwood TRU and Wal*Mart tomorrow morning, just in case. I'll probably end up buying Final Battle Jazz just because of the new gun he gets. It's closer to what he used in the movie, and I can just give it to regular battle jazz and keep FB Jazz in car mode sense he doesnt have any battle damage in alt mode

I know that my Target does not have wave 2 and won't be getting it for a while. It's Spiderman's fault too! SUCCESS! Well, sorta. I hit the local Target and they had one left of Dreadwing and about 3 Arcees, so I picked up one of each. Funny they had the 2 Deluxes in the wave that I cared the least about. They also had about 12 of Wreckage, which was a little weird, and a whole lot of Brawl and Jazz (regular Jazz, not the Final Battle one). I then went over to Wal-Mart to see if they got in the new wave, and while they didn't have any of the Deluxes, they had 4 new Fast Action Battlers I'd never seen before: Barricade, Megatron, Blackout, and Frenzy. Frenzy's alt-mode looks awesome, but his robot mode looks like rear end; unfortunately, I think that's pretty much the only Frenzy toy we're going to get, other than the little one that comes with Deluxe Barricade. I'll hit Target again tomorrow and see if they get the rest of the wave. I really want '08 Bumblebee and Payload (the armored car).

That metal dude posted:Frenzy is getting a Robot Replica toy if I'm not mistaken so keep your hopes up. Sure it won't transform but hell, at least it wont look like rear end with bad articulation. Let me emphasize, from what I could tell by looking at the packaging and whatnot, the Fast Action Battlers Frenzy actually has articulation, and his stereo mode looks great, it's just there's so much extraneous stuff on his robot mode because there's nowhere for any of it to go, since he's supposed to be such a spindly robot. It makes him look really bulky and awkward. As for Arcee and Dreadwing, I just cracked them both open and they're both awfully cool. Arcee's head looks way better in person, and her transformation is pretty neat (think Lugnutz or his repaint, Hightail, from the Cybertron line). I think my only gripes are that the package's mention of "automorph technology" is really misleading, as it just consists of her crossbow weapon springing out when you load the missile (and then collapsing back in when you fire it, and it's a pretty crappy missile launching mechanism), and Arcee's lack of meaningful elbow articulation. Because of the way the joint is sculpted, her elbows only bend correctly when her shoulders are positioned a certain way, and it interferes with mounting the crossbow on her arm pretty heavily. Otherwise, she looks really slick as a bike (although she's pretty out of scale with the other Deluxes; the Scout-class repaint is scaled much better), and her robot mode is pretty neat. Dreadwing has some "undercarriage" issues when he's a jet, but otherwise he looks pretty cool. Unlike Starscream, he actually has afterburners, which is a pleasant change. He's got dual missile launchers in robot mode, and the missiles are sculpted like flames, so they can be locked in as afterburner exhaust when he's in jet mode and it looks really cool. He's got some classy automorph gimmicks when you're transforming him, notably when you essentially pull him in half lengthwise and some things spring out from his midsection. His transformation is interesting because the directions seem to reverse and repeat themselves, so it almost feels like you're backtracking on some of the steps you'd already done, and then suddenly he's a robot and looks all cool. He has all kinds of articulation, although his knee articulation is rather goofy (his knees only bend "out", rather than forward like, say, a human's do), but his arms and shoulders have good articulation. I also like his head; even though it's just a lens (with light-piping, unlike Swindle), it has a lot of articulation in the neck, so you can actually be "expressive" with it. I'm looking forward to doing stop-motion animation with him, because he's really stable because of his wide-stance legs, and I think I could get good range of motion with all his joints.

Yeah.. I'm glad to see that some places are getting the new wave.. I have some friends of mine that are heading to the store in the morning tomorrow (at least to try and beat the normal sunday rush) going to check for me. I hope that they waited until tonight to restock as opposed to having already restocked and been plucked clean... Also glad to hear that Arcee is pretty decent along with dreadwing. Dreadwing is no longer "questionable" on my list of wants now. However, 08 Bumblebee still is along with the low rider pick-up. So the back of the package shows 08 BB, Bonecrusher, Scorpinok, and Swindle, with the three new ones. No sign of the other new ones. Wonder if they'll be out next week or what.

Also they have at least a dozen wreckages - I don't know why, I thought he was shortpacked. I'm guessing no one is buying him because he is in neither the movie nor the game.
