Ah, back after a day's probation. Ugh. I've just found out one of my friends who used to work at Albertsons (Southern food supermarket chain) now works at Target. Hmm.. abusing his 10% discount when I get back to Baton Rouge, methinks.

Mirage has limited playability. But awesome poseability. Both modes look fantastic. His car mode is awesome. Tilt and steering steering wheel, reclining seats, frunk, engine/enginebay, steerable wheels, gauges painted, impecable detail, etc. I was bored.

I hit Target and Wal-Mart again. Target had nothing but Brawl and Wreckage, and Wal-Mart only had Swindle and Bonecrusher. I did break down and get Fast Action Battlers Frenzy, though, after reading lots of positive reviews over at TFW2005.com's forums. I'll post up a mini-review later.

And my local Wal Mart (as usual) doesn't have any of the move Wave 3 figures in. Which is for the best. Saves me some money. Even though I really only want Bumblebee and the tow truck, a pair of deluxes.

The Hasbro panel confirmed some of the upcoming Classics. It's going to be Sideswipe, Suntreaker, Ironhide, Prowl and Octane. No word yet on the rest.

So I stopped by Target on my way to work today, looking for the '08 Bumblebee. As I get to the Transformers section, I see a flash of yellow and my heart started racing. A closer look, and i see it's the Classic Bumblebee. drat. To my right, I see a kid walking up and down the aisle with a Transformer in hand. After he turned around, I saw he was holding an '08 Bumblebee. I wasn't about to take a toy from a kid (not even a toy i went to 3 stores for) so I waited around the toy section to wait for him to put it down. No dice. Then I remembered that last time I was at this Target there was a Transformers endcap at the front of the store by the registers. I tried my luck, and of course there were 3 '08 Bumblebees just hanging out. Haven't had chance to open it yet, but if I can get my camera working I might put up some pics. (For reference, I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago) So good luck to those of you still searching

Oh, I cracked open Fast Action Battlers Frenzy and he's actually a lot of fun. His disc-launching gimmick is pretty cool, and he looks great as a stereo, and his transformation is really cool. I'm starting to warm up to his robot mode.
