I rather like BW Dinobot. He was my first BW figure. His spinning blades are fun. To this date, I actually like the original toy over the classics one. Same with Cheetor. Classics didn't do Beast Wars very well... at all.

Classics didn't, but Henkei Dinobot is a thing of beauty. I don't think it could be any better unless it was a voyager. You know, one of those voyagers that's not too much bigger than a deluxe, but really high-quality. Man, I love that figure.

We won't really know until they state the assortments for the revision cases and when wave 4 is expected. It's possible they'll do like DOTM and keep waves 1-3 around for a couple months and it's also possible they rush into wave 4, never do any revision cases resulting in those two being hard to find.

It's also worth pointing out that Prime was already renewed for a third season, so in all likelihood every existing toy other than Cliffjumper will see yet another mold.

Oh, and they confirmed Dreadwing is in some upcoming episode or whatever. He's a blue repaint (literally!) of Skyquake, who has an awesome mold so I don't mind. I'm really hoping that Ironhide turns out as amazing as the Cyberverse guy looks.

I think the cab's on backwards (you can see his window pecs at the back) and the hands are clearly meant to fold into his arms. Although there's still a lot of empty space at the back...

Oh wow, ignore me. His real windows are his bum, and that's a huge amount of backpack. AND I can't see anywhere for his hands to go. Goddamnit, Hasbro, why? Pass.

Just watched G1 "Dark Awakening" on the Hub. Man, Zombie Optimus was so disturbing when I was a kid - much more so before they tacked on the "BUT IS THIS REALLY THE END OF OPTIMUS PRIME" thing once they got around to doing that hate plague business. When it originally aired, it was just 'yeah, kids, that's how he went out. Dismembered and zombified.'

I like my Warbot Defender quite a bit, especially after I got the Reprolabels set for it. He's not without his issues, and transforming him and getting his arms situated right can be a bit of a motherfucker (I still can't do it without referring to like 3 different video reviews as I do it, the instructions it came with are totally useless) but I don't regret buying him. He's the best honest-to-god triple-changer Springer we're likely ever going to see for the foreseeable future.

Picked up RID CJ today because Thew made me and he's pretty good, to be honest. I think I'll still get the FE one when/if it reappears, but for now he's decent enough. His pancakey feet look like they're on the wrong way around, even though they're not. I think I'd just like the pipes on the outside of his feet.

I like RiD Cliffjumper a lot more than FE. The FE one has a fantastic robot mode, but the transformation is terrible and I find him extremely hard to get back into a car correctly. The RiD one is pretty good in both modes, and has a smooth transformation. I also like the red plastic color a bit more on RiD.

Read Last Stand of the Wreckers for the first time yesterday--it lived up to the hype. It's a real shame they don't do straight-to-DVD animated stuff like Marvel or DC. I'd love to hear the voice actors they would choose for each character...voice actors can really help define a character. I can't not hear Peter Cullen when I read Optimus in comics, just like Hamill's Joker and Kevin Conroy's Batman.

I missed out on him the first time around as well, but now that he's back in stock, I don't really care to own one. More recent 3rd party figures have gotten much closer to fitting the Classics aesthetic, whereas Springer looks like he's from a different toy-line entirely. The diecast is unfortunate as well, I'd rather pay less for a diecast free version, or just spend that money on the new Arcee figure.

If what was listed on a previous page true then Wave 2 only has one of each per box along with 1 Soundwave and 2-3 BBs. I guess it will depend on how badly the scalpers have at it.

I have to say that I'm growing to like the Prime designs quite a bit. They feel like their somewhere between Classics and Animated as far as style.

Plus if you're being 100% honest with yourself, and take of the "I paid $100 for this" glasses, the headsculpt is way, way off. The fin is wrong, the "crest" on the forehead is broken up into three sections and doesn't curve right, and the face is 100% generic. It's not fun to transform, and doesn't look like the character. If that's not a bad transformer I don't know what is.

You don't have to spoiler tag that, LS is from over a year ago. Megatron was "dead" at the end of All Hail Megatron, they shot him in the face with a weapon I believe was based on reverse engineered components from Shockwave. Last Stand fits in between the end of AHM and a bit into the ongoing, where Megatron's revival hadn't happened yet.

But yeah, at the time they were telling him the truth. It's awesome that this is what mentally hosed him over though, since Megatron is later revived in a form that would just obliterate Overlord anyway. Upgraded Megatron took on a "God".

Unfortunately they haven't really resolved where Overlord is or what happened to the various survivors of Last Stand. Perhaps they're waiting on a sequel miniseries.

Stopped by Tuesday Morning, a crappy little liquidation store, to see what sorts of junk was in their toy aisle. Lots of it! Including tons of mis-sized Transformer knockoffs, such as minicons four times their normal size, and a single tiny Fort Max, which was marked down to four bucks. Finally, I have a Fort Max of my own, and in an easily-stored size, too! Also grabbed a two-pack of minicons, one a space shuttle, the other a satellite, both absolutely huge and about the same size as the tiny fort max. Super stoked I finally got one of them tiny Fort Maxes without paying 20 bucks shipping.

They also had some other knockoffs which I took pictures of that were interesting, including what appears to be a supreme-sized, non-transforming knockoff of Beast Machines Optimus Primal which purplish chrome armguards and original Beast Wars Op's sword, as well as a weird little trans-pink gremlin thing(not Kremzeek).

Man, that's even more messed up. I can't imagine what it would have been like to NOT see the movie and then suddenly jump from Season 2 to Season 3.

I'd seen the movie at that point, and the movie blew my goddamn mind. I remember thinking I'd only seen Wheeljack's head rolling around, and shooting Ironhide in the face CHILLED ME TO THE BONE. And I definitely cried at Optimus Prime dying, and I had it in my head that he crumbled to dust, too, just like Starscream.

My only beef with the movie was that the commercials for it said WHAT IS THE SECRET OF THE MONSTER PLANET? and then showed us Unicron's arm unfolding and hand coming out, which basically said THE SECRET OF THE MONSTER PLANET IS THAT HE IS A TRANSFORMER. It would've been so much cooler if I hadn't known that going in.

I still say that movie is the only reason Transformers still has fans today, and isn't just the Go-Bots or some other also-ran thing. It was so amazingly NEXT LEVEL.
