I don't know if the rumors are to be believed, but Generations 2.0 might all be second/third/fourth renditions of characters we allready got in some form. I know waves 1 and 2's new character is Shockwave with the rest all being done in prior lines, but I'm really hoping that the future waves are guys we havn't gotten yet. Some were just poo poo like Ironhide and Ratchet and would probably warrent a Cybertronian varient just to get the figures right, but other than the minivehicles we sort of have all the original 1984/1985 cars with the exception of Skids and Hoist/Trailbreaker(his legends figure doesn't do him justice). I really want them to cover some of the more bizarre transformers like the Autobot/Decepticon targetmasters. I mean those were really weird futuristic vehicle modes for alot of them, that and the Monsterbots, Horrorcons and Animal Headmasters. Those strange alt modes are what made up the majority of G1, that and G1 didn't have bazillions of the same characters every wave. However I wouldn't mind if they made more G1-esque versions of characters that came after, I'd love a Bulkhead done up in a classics style. Yeah if anyone sees Warpath I would really appreciate if someone could pick him up for me. Not sure he ever came out in the UK. How have people found Prime Starscream? I'm thinking of ordering the Skywarp repaint from Japan.

First Edition Starscream is probably my favorite Transformer since Animated Rodimus. Save for a kind of weird looking altmode, he's got one of the best robot modes ever produced in the toyline.

I'm pretty sure they could change plastics and have one that doesn't form cohesively, that would lead to GPS down the road - color doesn't really matter, just bad chemistry. But yeah, as far as we know, GPS is solved and it isn't coming back. The science of plastics has improved a fair bit in the last decade.Steve Vader posted:So I just watched the latest episode of Prime. Just watched the latest Prime episode. Tron Legacy-esque music for Cybertron, nice. Also liked the A New Hope "everything's fine, how are you?" refference. They should really tone down the drama on the voice acting. Everything is so immense, so out of proportion. How can we expect to feel interested when even chewing gum is portrayed as the fate of the universe.

This week was a good week for me, transformers-wise. I got RTS Lugnut, Grapple, and the Maketoys not-Powerglide and not-Seaspray. I absolutely adore that power glide, he's got the cutest face out of any autobot. He's totally worth the half of his two pack's cost. Spray is cool too, but I really just got the pack for the 'glide. He's got some flaws though; Glide has a screw behind his face, thats partially visible under his chin; and whoever screwed mine in totally nicked his head with their screwdriver, so he's got a scar there. Also when he's in plane mode, it totally looks like you could get his legs to fit together just a bit tighter, but its impossible. ![]() P.S. Lugnut is the best. loving love him so much.

Unicron is the core of the planet Earth in Prime. They zapped it with the Matrix at the end of the first season and it went back to sleep. Also here's hoping Insecticon gets a toy.

I thought you guys might get a kick of of the custom I just finished. I think I made a "work in progress" post about it, but I'm not sure. Anyway, cross-post from TFW2005: Updated Pictures/Words: After some users provided great advice in this thread, I went back and did some reworking of this figure. The first thing (hopefully) that you'll notice is that I've done a lot more work on the head. I knew I had to make it more show-accurate or I'd never be happy with it. I mean, the guy doesn't just have a lion's mane on his head, he has a giant-as mechanized lion's mane on his head that almost resembles Mer-Man or something. I had to made it big, and make it stick out from the sides of his head. Second, he needed his spear, which was easy to steal from DOTM Space Case. ![]() ![]() Third, increased details for both him and Lionbreast. I think it'll be pretty obvious what I did. I tried not to go overboard, as I always like to make my customs look like something Hasbro COULD make, not the more hyperdetailed ultra-realistic stuff that, frankly, is out of my league. ![]() ![]() Fourth, I decided to go a little further and make sure Lionbreast could attach as a gun in either robot or alt mode. I gave him a simple handle (which unforunately resembles an enormous dong in beast mode) for hand-held gun mode. I also attached a couple rare earth magnets to allow him to mount in alt mode. ![]() ![]() ![]() All in all I'm pretty satisfied with this, though as I said originally, I am VERY eager for constructive criticism. Nothing's ever perfect, and I would feel privileged to hear what I could do better. Up next, Killbison (god have mercy, I think I'm doing all of Liokaiser).

Looks great! All of Liokaiser is a hell of a project. Did you happen to see that link I posted in your WIP thread on TFW? It was to a guy that did a complete Liokaiser, might help you out in terms of ideas.

catch22 posted:Looks great! That was a big help, as at that time I had only heard of one of the three (!!!) different "complete classic Liokaisers" I've seen so far. I think the difference between mine and those is that I'm going to really take my time and try to do each robot justice. I've never seen a Liokaiser custom that attepted show/box-accurate robot heads and animal-partners. I may not be that good at painting, I may not have the same level of experience, but I'm not even going to mess with a combined mode until I have 6 satisfactory individual customs.

So about that last Prime episode for a second I thought Orion Pax would talk some reason into those vehicons and then bugger off, that would've been cute; I also liked seeing Megatron outside the office for once, I don't like it when the writers asign him an "administrative role", Megs should always be an hands-on boss.
