Unemployment kinda kills the "CRAP GOTTA BUY EM ALL" feeling pretty swiftly. I ended up seeing the movie on Monday and just want something nifty to stick on the top of the TV. I think I might put off an Optimus for the time being and snag an Ironhide though. Those arm cannons look pretty sweet.

I feel like a complete retard for asking this, but I am having a total brain fart. I remember as a wee lad I had the big gundam looking jet. White, big, had "armor" that you put over the rest of the robot, can't even remember if he was a autobot or decepticon. Did he ever get re-released in the Macross styled "Big giant jet with huge guns" look or is the only hope I have of finding one of those the bay? About the closest I have seen to "Cool!" for something near it has been a "you must be super talented or have 50 months to waste on building this gundam model with an actual endoskelton" model that was something like 200-300 bucks. It's funny, I can remember lots of dumb things from when I was a kid, but what I want to remember.. complete failure

Cool! I knew it was something fire, but damned if I could remember it. The classics version looks kinda cool, but does anyone know where I can grab a macross styled one in that same scale? I dig the shape of the head a little more. Plus hes huge(r) than the classics one.

I had to make a choice tonight between Ironhide, Ratchet or Starscream (nary a Barricade in sight). I chose Ironhide. For my first transformer in what amounts to many many moons, I have to say this thing is pretty cool. The bumper is a royal PITA to turn down, and I hate hasbro and their "let's see how much tape we can put on this box!" ideas, but I gotta say I dig Ironhide. He has been my favorite since I was a kid, and my first vehicle was even a red van ![]() I drive a pickup truck (albeit a LOT smaller than what he is in the film), so this guys got a pretty special place on the TV display now. Later in the coming weeks I think I will start to round out the movie collection. I blame all of you for getting me hooked again.

Pharaoh Dust posted:Question to people with Movie Ironhide: Is there a way to turn his shoulders so that they have upward articulation toward his chest? I was kinda hoping to pose him holding his guns straight up in front of him, but I'm paranoid to gently caress around with it, lest I break him or my nails. (Shut.Up.) It's possible (just did it) but it is kind of strange to put into words. You know how you can rotate the arm on the 180 degree axis at the shoulder? The normal "raise arm in front, move arm towards back" movement (NOT SIDE TO SIDE)? Rotate the arm around, and you should be able to then move it outwards from the body into that side/side motion, and then just rotate it at the bicep joint. It should work perfect and there should be no forcing of it at all. It took me a few mins to play with it and get it figured out, but it's possible. Looks pretty cool too

I would love a movie accurate Nokia Death Bot, regardless of product placement or not. It just looked cool, and was hilarious. Same goes for Dispens-Or or whatever his name would be. Dispensing justice one can at a time, preferably out of a cannon If they made it look cool (keep it somewhat in scale with the big guy figures), and gave him giant arm cannons like Ironhide, I can completely see spending Same goes for the cell phone bot. The little gatling cannon he had was just... awesome. I am a guy, so I rarely call things cute, but dammit that little death machine has a special place in my heart now.

Probably a pretty big long shot, but anyone know of someone who makes custom transformers? Mainly I was thinking of a better looking mp3bot (can't recall the name), or possibly a Nokia bot from the movie but mostly I was thinking of rebuilding an old 35mm camera I have into a transformer (been thinking about it for years), and could use all the help I can get. I have some design work done as far as sketching out the overall shape/design in very very rough form, but I also know this is leagues above what my nifty dremel and "can do, with bondo!" attitude can swing. Any helps appreciated. I am getting no

Crap. A fortnight or so ago, whilst driving mine horseless carriage about town freshly unleashed from a job interview that went surprisingly well, I made the remark of "Egads! If I get this job, I am going to celebrate by buying every new transformers toy that doesn't suck!" Got the email today of "No job for you!!". God was listening and doesn't want me to be happy with new fun toys Seconding the "I want the super extra neato HD DVD awesometastic fantabulous dvd". Soon.

I grabbed the little MP3 guy yesterday. Booster something or another. Pretty awesome little bird. The only complaint is the bluetooth? headset thingie that he comes with has to have the lamest "transform!" option ever. You pull a peg downward to stick it onto his back. That's it. No extra fold out laser gun or missile rack or anything, just a friggin peg so that it looks like the headset is jumping a tiny bird. Kinda sucks his neck isn't flexible, or at least hinged ala Lazerbeak, but it is definitely worth the 8 bucks he cost. No luck with TRU here, they have some titanium soundwaves, but no re-issues. Had about 10 leader class Megatrons, so I dunno if they are shortpacked or what. He looks kinda crappy though. If I was a kid, I wouldn't want him to play with. The other guys all look kinda normal (cept for Scorponok), but Megs looks kinda ... odd. Maybe its the grey on grey with pink, and more grey paintjob...

My favorite thing about the Xbot-360 is when it first transforms in the movie, right before you see the arms pop out of the box, you hear that little DING noise that a regular 360 makes right at the end of its boot sequence The Dispenser art looks cool, but I don't recall him having 4 limbs. Is that the video game design from the mt dew website?

Checking back in on the thread. I got lucky in Gonzales. The wal mart there has a new assortment of stuff. They only had 1 bumblebee though. I looked for a few extra to help out on here, but didn't see anything. I am going to try the one in Prairieville later on today or tomorrow.

Dunno if it will make you feel better or not, but 08 Bumblebee is on par with Ironhide when it comes to "How the gently caress do I make him a vehicle again?". I have some shopping to do later today (gotta find a cheap bookcase), so I am going to keep an eye out on the toy aisle. If I see another 'bee I will grab him and we can have a mini goon meet and you can have him for cost ![]() If I see any others, I will grab em for the semi local goons as I hate going to ebay for anything.

The bling is a silver matrix necklace I got from a friend of mine many moons ago. Ironically now I want a 78 Bumblebee too. I might have to grab that combo pack from Wal Mart in a few weeks.

I managed to score an extra masterpiece starscream today. I had to beat up a 5 year old kid, and then surprise sex his mom with a harry potter broomstick, but I got it out of his grubby little hands. HE WAS GOING TO OPEN IT!!! Seriously though, I did get an extra today. Someone lob me an offer and I will consider it. The box is awesome as is,and I am trying to decide if I want to get one to keep in box and one to display, or just sell the extra one.

It is . Sorry for the delay on this one, but I ended up a lot busier than I thought tonight.I decided to part with both of mine (open and unopened). I just don't really have the shelf space that I want for this guy, so he has to wait until I move into a new place to show off. Let me know if you prefer opened or unopened one. The remaining one will either go back to the store or will be offered up on here as well. Paypal is stupidsexyflander@gmail.com

Not really. I don't mean to sound like an rear end in a top hat about it, but after taxes and shipping costs, paypal fees, etc I am making something in the realm of 5 or 6 bucks, which almost covers my gas I used. Not that I am after huge amounts of dough, (and I hate I did manage to get the cheeto dust off my fingers before transforming him though, if that helps

Sorry, didn't see the "where did you get the starscream!?!??!" post earlier. Seigan lane, Prarieville, or Gonzales wal mart. I don't have my receipt nearby, but I was at all 3 on saturday/sunday. They are 48.88 before tax. I can't pick up 6 or 8 of them though. Honestly, I don't have that kind of cash to spare. I don't want to scalp em out for 85$ a pop and shipping either (cause I hate those people), but remember if I pack these well shipping is going to be kind of high. Postal boxes are free but packing peanuts and tape and labels cost $$$. Insurance as well. I can work out a shipping rate once I get ShutUps packed and out the door, but I dunno if you guys might just want to wait a little bit for them to show at your local wal mart. Cost + tax + packing + paypal fees might be more than you want to spend.
