I prefer subs better on Berserk, there were a few english casted voices I personally didn't think fit the characters, but the outtakes are loving hilarious. One of my favorites is when Guts and Griffith are walking back to the palace, and I believe Guts' VA says "Life aint nothing but bitches and money." Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while. Ah, good times.

You can get them at a decent price from amazon.com, rightstuf.com, and animecornerstore.com. I buy almost all of my anime and manga online, it's much easier to find the product you want at a decent price, especially because they ship warehouse direct, whereas the retailers only buy so much because shelf space is limited.

Fortunately it was only said that he would rule a kingdom, and never specified how long. I'd like to see Guts cut short the Griffith dynasty, so to speak, though I still think it's going to take a good long while, I want to see the fall of his kingdom by Guts' hand.

A good question would be why exactly Guts meant so utterly much to Griffith that losing him was so earthshattering.

I really believe that Griffith felt that Guts was the key person he could count on to help him win Midland. Guts had literally become Griffith's right hand. He helped assassinate the king's brother, he defeated the strongest general in the opposing army, he helped carry out the assassination of the queen and her stooges, all with no questions asked. It was like losing his number 1 resource. I think Griffith thought all his hope for an easy takeover was lost with Guts.

I pray to God it's once every two weeks. At least for the remainder of the year. That would be nice.

Were those new fairies? Does this mean Elfhelm or whatever is getting close? Well, we already know we won't find out next chapter, so I guess it's just gonna have to wait for now.

Yeah, this is probabally going to be a multi-month "Miura hasn't set a date" type thing.

That sucks rear end. I hope it doesn't end up being 3 months again. I like my once a month updates, it's like getting a present every month. Oh, look, new Berserk! But three months is getting a little crazy.

According to Skullknight.net, Berserk will resume again on the 23rd. Take that as you will, but I've always found them to be a reliable source of information.

One more week until 294. It's nice to have a somewhat predictable release schedule again, though god knows how long it will last.

I disagree. The difference is, he is still "waiting and seeing", still following the Demon Emperor despite knowing what it is. Guts would have given it the finger right away (and quite possibly died by doing so), so the difference of course is how much they're willing to take. The Assassins disagree with the horrors the Emperor is doing, but they seem to be too afraid, even if they don't act that way, to act against them.

Guts pretty much already did do that. Back in chapter 275. It was pretty badass too!

Ganishka looks loving awesome. And as long as there is an actual date for the next chapter, I am not worried. I only get worried when they publish and there's no date at all. Because then we know it's outrageously long break time for Miura!

I just can't wait to see Femto/Griffith take control of the world and completely gently caress it up. I just want to see it so I can see all the looks on the faces of his human followers. I want to see those looks of adoration get wiped away. Then Guts can come into the picture and gently caress Griffith up. After that, I don't really care what happens anymore.

The preview for 296 is out. The emperor looks pissed. This should be a fun battle, but it'll probably take Miura another year to draw it all.

He really should just release the rest of the story in text format, and then do his little 3 chapters a year for as long as he wants. Because once I know how the story turns out I won't give too much of a drat anymore. I'll be like "Oh hey an illustrated chapter of Berserk, let's see if it matches up to the written story!" I just want a drat conclusion!

The Ultimate Betrayal is going to be so good. When Griffith defeats Ganishka, he is literally going to be regarded as God on Earth by all his followers. He will be incapable of wrongdoing, free to do as he wishes as long as the people 'feel safe.'

Can you imagine the look on everyone's faces when Griffith, their lord and savior, claims the world for the God Hand? And with the knowledge that they were all complicit in signing their lives over to demon gods?

So good.

I agree, I've actually been waiting for this moment for over a year now. But seeing as we only get about 5 chapters a year now, I suppose we'll both be waiting another year or longer.

The new chapter will just be 18 page-rectangles that foldout 1 by 1 into a massive panoramic shot of the battlefield.

Then we'll get the next "page" this time next year woot.

It'll be pretty much identical to the last 2 pages of chapter 297. They might be a few feet closer to each other to show a few seconds have elapsed.

At least there's a date for the next chapter. Of course then the next chapter won't have one and we'll wait 3 or 4 months again.

I think his old schedule was every two weeks. It's still like that for maybe 3 chapters in a row and then he takes 3 or 4 months with no chapters. I'm really looking forward to what's going to happen with Guts and his companions.

Edit: beaten

Well, if they're relying on Miura, they might as well sit back and get comfortable, because it'll take him about 3 years or so to make up his mind.

I thought there was a new chapter released.

Oh don't worry about that, the date for the next chapter hasn't even been announced as far as I know. We'll get a two week notice before the next chapter, most likely.

Miura isn't releasing enough chapter's per year to make one volume anymore either, so the release of English volumes by Darkhorse is going to stop after it's entirely caught up. I really wish he'd pick up the pace, even if he just did like the lady who does FMA, and make one long one every month, I'd be about a million times more satisfied.

About the raging over being touched, just keep in mind Gambino sold his rear end to a giant black man when he was a boy. That sort of thing might make anyone rage over being touched.

I think it's inevitable that Caska goes back to Griffith once she regains her mind. Her attachment to him is far higher than her one to Guts.

The big question is how Guts will act. Will he simply accept it, will he become a drunk or something, or will he decide that the only thing to do is introduce Griffith to his sword? Thinking it's the latter.

This sounds pretty much the same as how I've always thought it would end up. I'm thinking that the dog demon will get more chances to come out if she leaves, especially after the dream Guts had while on the ship. Must've been back in the 280's, though I don't remember what the dialogue was so I could be misremembering what went on.

Jimmybob

Well, regardless of what ends up happening, we have plenty of time to keep thinking about it and discussing it, seeing as how the next chapter likely won't be out until June or July. I'd really take a small sacrifice to how good the art is, if it meant that we could have chapter releases per year in the double digits again. I know Miura does a poo poo ton of research and planning as well, so I guess we just have to wait and wait some more.

Jimmybob

How many has he put out this year? 2 or 3? Let's say we get 3 more now through the end of July, and hopefully he comes off break again in October for another 3 round burst. That's 8, maybe 9 chapters in one year. Not even double digits, it really sucks too.
