I have to do this whole Bad Moon thing. Does anyone know if you can go from one Bad Moon ascension directly into another Bad Moon ascension, or is there some new manner of horrible and retarded time-wasting poo poo that you have to do first?

I wanted to play with the reward in a hardcore run though, so I jumped into a normal hardcore run. However if you think you'll have access to Hangks or anything after freeing the king, you're dead wrong. You might be able to url manipulate your way to it. It's otherwise unavailable. I wouldn't count on being able to url manipulate it for long if you can. edit: Once you free the king you can use clovers to your hearts content though. That's something that might get changed too though so

Hi, I'm going to do at least four more Oxycore ascensions even though NS13 has arrived and wreaked havoc. Why? I'm not hardcore enough for Bad Moon and I would like a complete collection of plexiglass items. But really, I have brain damage. I like to do long, tedious sidequests while I'm in oxycore and I also like to fail at them for whatever reason. Guess what I'll be doing next ascension? The same thing! Optimization? What's that?  My interest in this game has unexpectedly died since NS13. I like KoL, sure, but I don't seem to want to sit down, just the two of us, and play the game like I used to play it. One of these days, I should sit down, browse the wiki, and see what I can do to rekindle interest in this game. If you feel the same, I'm interested to see what you've done to make this game interesting and special again.

Well, I'm at a good point with one of my multis. I've got the mushroom farm unlocked, I'm doing hardcore teet, and I have pasta and reagent summoning hardcore permed. Thanks to this thread I started playing again after a 9 month absence. Luckily, I bought a Mr.Store familiar long ago and my character is still there. I'm a lvl13 sauceror right at the end of my first no-path hardcore run but this NS13 thing has really thrown me off. I finished the L11 quest yesterday along with grabbing a few items needed for the lair. I assume I still have to do the L12 council quest in order to ascend(?). Has anything changed about the sorceress fight? What strategy and stats should I be shooting for? Is there anything else different in the lair that i should know about? I would really like to kill this bitch today or tomorrow so I can start a new HC run as soon as possible. I'm going to roll a pastamancer next unless something has changed I should know about.

It's fun! edit: The lair has changed a bit: The entrance cavern now has more possible gates than just "candle, wussiness, sugar rush." It's a 100% chance that one will involve a DoD potion, and there's lots of gates that need items from South of the Border too. The Hedge Maze is now random (whatever) and they added a HUGE amount of new Tower monsters. One thing you should know is that if you encounter an Angry Cow (and now the other two shore choices have their own associated barbed wire fence-clone items) you are guaranteed to get that item the next time you take a shore trip. Sure, the no-clover lead in to it sucks, but it's totally worth it once you get in. Me and rabidsquid had a bunch of fun in Bad Moon, and it seems like Davethulhu is too since he's tearing up the leaderboards.
