I don't use toolbelt as automation either! And I loving hate it when mafia buys/pulls/makes things without my okay. The only time I really ever automate though when it's not farming is BHH stuff and when I'm grinding to L30 without clovers. I just click through every single adventure in the relay browser otherwise. And assemble everything by hand. I'm not really sure how I managed to ascend 70 times without burning out.

I haven't played seriously since NS13 and returning to serious business university, but NS11 HC was a nice game because it couldn't be skewed by URs and raffle prizes or donations, and I was well off enough to have the FotMs and tome/libram to run my game from. It was very math, and a personal challenge to get my days/turns down to as efficient as possible.

The only thing softcore was to me after my initial getting acquainted phase was for attempting 1-dayers, which was very stressful. Pull optimization was never my strong point.

Is it just me, or have both my personal interest and the general goon interest in this game dropped dramatically since NS-13? I blame this on Sputnik taking over the first post of this thread. :pseudo:

And I've been dumping all my turns in the sign gyms, other than lucre. Once I get up to the mid 20s I'll probably start basementing again. I just haven't had a lot of time to play KOL lately, with school starting and me being rather tired of the heart scene at the moment.

Tapered Threads (Duct tape outfit) gives

Angry Farmer's Wife Candy
This appears to be some kind of limited-edition variant of Angry Farmer candy. It's still basically a little brick of artificially-flavored sugar, but it somehow exudes an aura of frustration and ennui.

You eat the Angry Farmer's Wife Candy. It tastes like having your spouse never at home because they're always hard at work on the farm, never giving you the intimacy you need. And raspberry.
You acquire an effect: Sugar Rush
(duration: 10 Adventures)
You acquire an effect: Amorous
(duration: 10 Adventures)

Overall +5% Musc, -10% Myst, +5% Mox. Meh.

I beat it playing as a musc class last time, pretty much. But I have a crazy amount of HC perm skills and I was playing the game in a relatively laid-back run.

Also everything on the battlefield takes double damage to cold, so get on that cone of whatever, +spelldamage weapon and gazpacho grimoire, stat.

The problem with :wcc: is that it takes up LED Blocks required to make Dollhouse v2.0. So if you're going to collect them you're basically punching yourself repeatedly in the bottom line.

How hard is it to get down to the 500th level of the basement if all you have is the Stainless rewards? I am shooting for the lvl 30 DB trophy and wonder if it is feasable to get a telescope without having to spend too much extra time leveling up. Looking at the wiki, it looks like I would need around 1200 mainstat.

Would it be easier if I got some bad moon ascentions out of the way for the brimstone items?

How much are you willing to blow on potions and stuff? As a DB you're going to probably bleed meat on phials of (x) and the SR elemental resist stuff to survive a good deal of the deeper dual element resist tests too. Do you have permed uncapped spells to damage the phys-resist monsters? This is all very important to think about. :3:

IMHO the sauceror L500 run is the easiest of the six, as myst classes are allowed to have more elemental reistance, and a Sauceror gets 3 potions per reagent, and 10 base turns per potion, 15 with the skill that gives +5.

Robot Porn can probably jump in too but (I think?) we've got better toys to play with than just stainless so how applicable it is might be a bit iffy.

Actually now I have a question. Would stockpiling rogue stingers help beat the crap out of beer golems? I'm talking Mr. Swoon levels of 1k+ stingers.

He said Sauce is easier. They both have uncapped spells, I'd take a guess that Sauce would be easier/cheaper because of the innate +5 potion duration. Meaning you can have up to 15 turns, if you have the skill and are a Sauce. That adds up over the course of a basement run. If you're cooking them yourself, you also get 3 potions per combine instead of 1.

Also the Pastamancer top-tier spell does physical damage, unless you're phial-formed. So as a pastamancer you're stuck beating on n-dimensionals and ghosts with cone of whatever.

Okay, so if you want RFR/Crimbo tattoos, just follow this easy guide! Also please tell me which one you need.

1) you can drop by the IRC room and talk to me (as TabbyNotab)
2) post your AIM name and I'll get in touch whenever I see you online
3) send me a PM on this very forum!
4) or you can send a kmail to Very Flash (#177113) ingame, but that's probably the slowest method since I don't really notice I have kmail most of the time, but it'll still be faster than sending anything to TabbyNotab in game because I log into THAT account about once every 2-3 days.

and you can send me a temporary password for your account so I can log in and give you the tattoo. :)

Seeing as I haven't looted The Protected's stash dry with my karma-free privs you can rest assured I won't be running off with any of your stuff. Seriously. And please make sure you're not in HC/Ronin and have the artist's fetch quest complete so he can actually tattoo you.

Also I will see what I can do about borrowing a set of Radio Free Regalia.

Edit: :siren:I NOW HAVE RADIO FREE REGALIA FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS.:siren: Probably until the weekend, so get to it if you need the tattoo.

Edit 2: Returned the Radio Free Regalia.

Unless you're a member of the IRC Illuminati goon council/expedition team, you MUST fork over your password. Also do not tell me you want it then tell me you're in ronin/HC. Just let me know when you are ready to go. :argh:

The Crimbo Duds (Crimbo '03) suit will be sticking around for whenever people are ready, since it's mine and I generally don't sell gifts I get.

Radio Free Regalia however is on loan, so I have to return it soonish. I could probably borrow it again a month or two later but that's dependent on the guy who owns it not managing to sell it in the interim or being annoyed at me. :iiam:
