An example of such stupidity is this article. Basically the author says that contrary to what Miyamoto said, Super Mario World could have been pulled off on the NES. He then points to an NES version of the game created by Asian hackers as proof that Miyamoto is wrong, never mind that it's buggy and has areas where you can get stuck and be forced to reset. The comments on the article are numerous and stupid, and they accuse the author of being a hack. It's like seeing a bunch of people who are still living in 1991.

Why even bother with Awful Link of the Day anymore? All the stuff that would have had its own Geocities website or tiny forum as recently as five years ago have all migrated to Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. All the news blogs that regularly hosted bad opinions (now known as "hot takes") have given way to stuff like Breitbart and WNN on the right, or stuff like Buzzfeed and the family of websites owned by HuffPo, Vox, and Univision on what passes for the left. The internet isn't as uniquely awful as it used to be. It's now awful in a mundane, same-y way. There's no reason to have ALOtD anymore. Give it an official retirement ceremony.
