I want to bring a bunch of these in a playlist on an upcoming road trip which should take us through a couple days' worth of driving through open desert and countryside. Should I just take a bunch of random ones, or is there like a "best of" I should specifically pick out and burn?

Oh man. I'm listening to 12-10-2001 with Robert Downey Junior off the previous recommendation. They are gambling on what type of abuse this chick has suffered based off her current situation and Drew has just spotted Robert a dollar because Adam wouldn't let them go to the car and get money. Funniest poo poo ever.

I was listening to an episode yesterday where Adam was going on and on about Drew's career as a fudge packer. Everything about it was so dead-pan serious that I could not keep myself from cracking up. Something about him getting good at reaching around to grab the nuts while he was packing fudge... my god it was insanely funny. I have it on my shuffle, and my dock is not here right now so I can't find what episode it was... if anyone else can post the two clips from that episode, people need to hear that.

82 gb uploaded on the torrent and I just keep on givin'. I always listen to Loveline while waiting on the bus, the problem is that I sometimes burst into laughter and people look really weird at me but it's so worth it. I love Adam's rants. The episode where Adam's flatulence forces Dr.Drew to sit outside cracked me up.

If anyone still needs convincing to start downloading old Loveline shows, this should do it: a recording of the infamous "Holocaust" call. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HsnaNu7sJiQ Herein a phonesex operator calls in, asking for tips on how to not get her customers to finish so fast. Adam thinks she needs to subliminally work disturbing subject matter in, such as Vietnam or the Holocaust. Hilarity ensues. No video, but youtube is the easiest way for the kids these days to upload stuff.

gauss posted:get some DAG in there! He can be annoying, but some priceless episodes with him on there. Yes! That was amazing. And I loved the game they played in which they'd try to guess the caller's past based on their present. It was shocking how accurate they usually were. And when somebody made a really good guess, the other one would reward him. One of my favorite exchanges: Drew: Did you take tapdancing classes when you were 3? Caller: Yes. Adam: That's it, I'm giving Drew a dollar.

I was listening to the Violent J episode again last night and most of the time he's kind of annoying. But when he hits the right note it is keel-over-and-clutch-your-chest hilarious. "You can stroke the balls, lick the balls, carress the balls, suck the balls. JUST DON'T PUNCH THE BALLS."

I have been listening for 10 years. I love this show! I have to say Striker is growing on me. I hated him at first, mostly because Adam can't be replaced, but he seems to be getting better in the more recent episodes and he is kinda growing on me. I would however love to see Adam back on the show. "Oohh, just thinking about the holocaust right now..." "Do me a favor, go find your dad and kick him in the nuts for me, because somehow he has failed you." - Adam

Grifter posted:I liked the Nye episode. It's true that he's one of those guests who doesn't really get the show, but he still works out okay. Bill is just too nice to really get into the rhythm of Loveline, but it was worth it to hear him interact with Drew. They're obviously both smart guys with a lot of intellectual curiosity. There were a couple points where Drew would be explaining something medical to a caller and Bill would stop him and ask for clarification on some terms - it was cool to hear a guy like that who would readily admit he didn't know everything but was always interested in learning more. He was way more responsive than 80 percent of all the guests. He laughed at Adam's jokes, talked with Drew and was generally into it. That Patton Oswalt show was fantastic by the way, I think he is the only comedian besides Chris Titus that could keep up with Adam and was really funny.

The Patton Oswalt & Brian Posehn episode is one of the most consistently funny episodes I've heard so far, even if the discussion about who they could gently caress at what point in their careers lasts a bit too long. Also, Brian doesn't add much but is pretty funny when he actually says something. Patton is 100% gold though. Worst episode I've heard: Wes Scantlin from Puddle of Mudd. He rarely says anything and when he does it's something insanely idiotic, Avoid at all costs. If anyone has any other episodes where the guest is terrible please feel free to start listing them. More good episodes: -Chris Titus -Jake Busey -Jamie Pressley -John Cho & Kal Penn -Jason Bateman & Will Arnet ("In order to reach these kids, Hack will have to become...a rapist!") Jay Mohr bombed so spectacularly that its worth listening to. He just kept going until he realized that he bombed and just spent the rest of the episode mocking himself with Anderson dropping in canned laughs and applause. I forget the guy's name, but the lead singer from Smash Mouth was a great guest. He talked pretty openly about pretty personal issues (death of his child, tucking his penis between his legs and dancing around the house - very personal). Anderson tore into him by dropping in "And I saw her face now I'm a believer!" song that he covered. Pretty much any episode where Anderson tears into a guest is good comedy. The drill instructors Leo & Tony (2001-05-10) were awesome (YOU GOT ANOTHER QUESTION WEIRDO HURRY UP PUSH PUSH PUSH YOU NASTY THING) and Violent Jay because most of the drops are from his one appearance.

He is just is just a very insane man. I did hate that episode though, he is unbearable. Edit: Avoid the episode with the Black Eyed Peas.
