What a coincidence. I was just going to suggest we create some sort of wiki where people provide a list of calls with a short description of the call as well as any notable funny moments, quotes, or soon(I know there's a quote archive but I'm talking about something more comprehensive.)

I've mentioned this idea before. I don't know anything about starting a wiki, but clearly there are (at least) several people who would be willing to contribute to it, including me.

As far as format goes here are my suggestions for episode notes and pages:

1) Drop sources (First time for "You're Gay", and "The world is your oyster")
2) Common stories (Adam's Stripper Girlfriend, How Drew picked Adam)
3) References (Violent Jay, Popcorn Tin)
4) Bits (Betting on a caller, Ranchero Countdown)
5) Loveline Moments ("The Darkness" interview, David Arquette rushes in)
6) Personal Revelaions (Adam's engagement, Drew's kids at Disneyland)
7) Famous callers (Dog Fucker, the guy who stole the corpse's head)
8) External media ("The Man Show", "Dawson's Creek", "New York Minute")
9) Repeat/Famous guests (DAG, System of a Down)
10) FCC rules (can't say "piss" or "rear end in a top hat" anymore)
11) Frequency of drops (Every few months Anderson is told to lay off)

I would contribute like hell to this sort of Wiki.

Adam and Drew have said on the show before the would love to seriously release a best of loveline. If you did this you should contact them about it. The thing stopping them is they don't ever want to do it them selfs.

The Right to Lifer show is 2001-4-8 and it's a discussion about emergency contraception, and also the source of the "No! Not alright!" drop. I don't remember what show Dice was on but it was a no guest show. Drew basically said "If you're not using birth control and you're ejaculating inside her she will get pregnant." and Dice is just like "...Oh," and then Adam is like "Dice, you weren't a genius before you got into the weed and now you're practically retarded because you're getting baked all of the time," at which point he goes on a rant about weed.

Thank you, will be listening to that later.

The Dice show just came up in my rotation. 2001-06-03 where the guest was an Abstinence Advocate named Dina. It was a fairly good episode and even though the abstinence stuff was impractical Adam and Drew had a very civil discussion with the guest about the matter.

Incidentally, the following episode on 2001-06-04 has Dr. Bruce as a guest with Drew still in the studio! About 50 minutes in is the origin of the "My question's regarding my peckah" drop that Anderson pulls out every once in a while.

While I'm at it, Drew's accusatory "You're a LESBIAN!" drop comes from 2001-05-17 where Howie Mandel subbed for Adam, but I don't have an exact time for it.

Here are a few recommendations of my own. I keep a notepad file in my Loveline folder and if an episode is continuously hilarious, I jot it down and what made me laugh. I started in June of 2001 and I'm only up to April 2002 as of now.

2001-06-10: "I drink alahoeul" Wiccans (this absolutely crazy girl calls in around 45 minutes through, talking about how she's slept with 130 guys or something in 3 years.

2001-06-13: Mike snores at the end (they pick on a caller who's asleep)

2001-06-20: The snoring security guard (Adam tries to plant a mic near the security guard who's asleep, Drew commentates on the process as only Drew can do. Eg. "He's over towards the left, about this far away, etc. etc.")

2001-06-26: what do you have against the gays, drew? (I don't remember this one, but I think it was Adam making fun of Drew's drops)

2001-08-09: big toe, drew+the mic, adam's blowjob preferences, adam's stripper girlfriend (this was a great one, full of Adam ranting about Drew hitting the mic, Adam's blowjob preferences, and the story about Adam's stripper girlfriend)

2001-10-01: jimmy eat world, theme songs, drew's opera (This one is brilliant too, the guest is JEW and Adam talks about how their song Bleed American (I think that's the one) is what he wants playing whenever he walks into a room. Then Anderson's got this ridiculous circus music that he plays throughout the whole episode whenever Adam refers to the theme song. It's great.)

2001-10-17: calling all nerds, jeez (I think this is the one where that drop came from)

2001-11-27: 3-by, airport, fembots (All this happens at the beginning with Adam making fun of Drew's lack of construction knowledge, his trip to the airport, and Drew talking about fembots)

2001-12-17: alcoholic girl, adam singing (Don't remember this one, but I'm pretty sure it was good.)

2001-12-20: weather in LA, "no" girl, drew farts! (In this one there's this bogus caller who says "no" in a really weird way, and Adam makes fun and then uses it the rest of the night. The last point is self-explanatory)

2002-01-21: movie impressions (I think this comes up near the end of the episode and Adam gives his best impressions of famous movie scenes.)

2002-01-24: englishmen, bathroom stink
2002-02-12: drew's gay tendencies

2002-02-20: PSAs, kid hangs up, bewner, Chief Runningturd (this one is so funny, Adam rants about the PSAs, makes fun of the way someone says "boner," and even has a guest appearance by Chief Runningturd. Nanachucka! Nanawah!)

2002-04-18: big girls, fight with drew, viewfinder, travel agents (this one's good too, they talk about those orange Viewfinders with the discs and Adam talks about his arrest warrant when he was working for a travel agent and how his friends bailed him out of jail)

2002-04-21: I've just got one question for you: veal, and venison? (This is hilarious, this episode's full of retard callers and Adam asks them what veal and venison are. Most people answer that veal is lamb, and one girl answers that venison is in Italy. It's brilliant.)

So that's all I've got for now. Hope you like 'em!

There's a pretty funny exchange when they have no guest on. Some caller tells Adam that if he doesn't except Jesus Christ as his saviour he'll go to Hell. When Adam asks him what it's like down there they have this little exchange, paraphrased.

Caller: It's dark down there and you just burn, then your skin comes back and it burns again for eternity. Forever. And you can't see anything. You just burn.
Adam: So there's a lot of people in Hell?
Caller: Yeah there's Millions.
Adam: So if we're all burning wouldn't it be pretty bright down there, if we're all on fire?
Caller: No...cos...it's so bright that it's making you blind.
Adam: Right, I'm glad you cleared that up.

They were actually good naturedly ribbing him. I expected Adam to go crazy on him but he just gently pokes fun at his theory. Including Hassidic Jews and their Beards burning, then the Beards growing back and burning again.

On the flipside, Longbeach Dub Allstars were on and they're were the worst, dumbest guests ever. Adam was trying but you could tell he just thought they were idiots.

Any other votes for the worst guests on the show?

There's some controversy over this, but I think Jay Mohr was horrible. He was trying to do bits, stepped on/got stepped on by Adam, and just generally did not mesh at all with tone of the show. It was like he was trying to do his best Morning Zoo DJ and his best wasn't very good.

Clive Barker was pretty annoying too. That is a pretentious man.

Hmm. I though Mohr was one of the best guests. I do agree that sometimes I kind wanted him to tone it down a bit and let Adam do his thing, but generally I laughed my rear end off when he was doing his jokes. I especially liked the time he was on with Julianne Nicholson and he kept referencing her, especially after he said something particularly stupid of vulgar.

When I hear these calls I can't help but wonder if it's a Miriam call.

If you don't know she was a caller that was later busted as bogus, and admitted to making multiple bogus calls to the show. She was always very good at fooling Drew and Adam by giving real-sounding responses to their questions. Her stories were always over the top, I think she was busted on a series of calls about living with a step-father who was currently sexually abusing her. One of them was a show when some cops were guests, but I don't remember the date.

2002-06-11 was pretty funny. There's no guest but there's a good call from a woman who woke up to find a Mexican on top of her and he clothes off. Anderson reveals when he was 15 he knew a girl who liked 'Sleep loving'.

It's also after Adam has had root canal surgery and is quite possibly high.

One of his best ideas. So simple, but it is brilliant, I hate lifting my own toilet seat. Having something that is really half the size of a quarter just off center of the seat should have been implemented 100 years ago.

Another great toilet idea was the remote control flush. Often Adam would be on the john while talking on the phone, but unable to flush because it would tip off to the other person just where he was receiving their call. At the same time, he didn't just want to leave poo poo in the bowl to ferment. But with the remote control flush, your troubles are over!

Heard one today where he was talking about a "Carolla move" where he's taking a dump and peeing at the same time, and his dick isn't quite dangling right, so the piss goes in between the toilet seat and the bowl, hugs the side of the bowl, and dribbles into his pants. He calls it a "silent killer" because you can't hear anything and by the time you notice it's too late, so he suggests some sort of catch at the front of the bowl that prevents piss from dribbling into your pants. I believe this episode was 9/13 or 9/14 in 2001, just a few days after the attacks.
