I 'snapped' and killed a bird and its baby purely because their chirping annoyed me. I got a buzz out of killing them both with one shot.

In other words, I have the mind of a serial killer.

I don't need anything super fancy, just a better-than stock barrel, really. Also, my carbine stock doesn't have studs, so I figured this was a good deal. Does Butler Creek make good 10/22 barrels?

Meh, I don't really want to drop more than ~150 into a gun that I mostly use for plinking/shooting squirrels etc. (especially when i got the gun for less than that), and I'm planning on getting the Volquartsen trigger upgrade already. If it's worth the price of $115, then I'll get it, but if it's a piece of poo poo I'd just rather not waste my time. Conversely, if I have to spend that much on a nicer barrel (+ $$$ for a new compatible stock), I have other things I'd rather spend my money on.

 I got a used 10/22 recently and had the same problem. I just soaked it in CLP for a while and grabbed it an wrenched it out. It feels like it's stuck in there but you just need to give it some elbow grease.
