To be fair, all the scratches are around the engine lid, with the lid remaining in perfect condition.

It's a JDM model because the gauges are in metric! nevermind that it's LHD.

JDM usually don't even have MPH on it - anywhere.

A JDM Familia would make a great daily driver if you don't beat the gently caress out of it. A reasonable driver can get plenty of fun out of it for a long time (similar to the old WRX 5speed? :can: ) without too much trouble from the trans/diffs.

And yes, they do cost a bit more but are WAY better than the BF 323 with a FWD B6T (alphabet soup?).

At some point, converting existing parts from newer vehicles to fit must be an option (shortened Jeep axles, etc)?

What's funny is that the picture you provided of a LHD model is actually a RHD that's been mirrored. If you crop and create wallpaper on your link, you can see the numbers on the speedo are backwards. Also, using your second link you can just barely make out a gas pedal in the very corner. Also the speedo and tach needles are in the appropriate place (lower left so as to turn clockwise).

Edit: The pics in the original CL ad are authentic, sorry.

So wait - the speedo and tach are on opposite sides of the dash, both not in direct field of view?
