There was this FPS game I played back in the early 90's. All I remember is it was sort of like Farcry kind of setting. I believe it was called "Island of Dr. ?????" I don't remember the last part. Suggestions?

Yes! I've been waiting for this thread to resurface!

There was this RTS I remember playing back in the late 90's. The game had some sort of medieval setting...and I believe it was developed in the UK. I recall it being pretty entertaining but all I remember from the actual gameplay was that the archers had a really distinct sound to them and the units walked around rather slowly. I know this is vague as gently caress but it's been driving me crazy for a while.

Anybody?

I've been trying to remember the name of a game from the mid to late 90s (it ran under Win95). It was an RTS with red and blue robots. You had to capture zones on the map to get access to their robot factories or vehicle plants to get more units. It had "goofy" cut scenes between battles, and I think the developer or publisher was named Z or started their name at least started with a Z.

Everything changes, Pit.
Even gods.

It's for the PS1. An RPG with co-op. You chose what weapon to use rather than a class or something.

The game looked like everything was hand-drawn or painted, it was very pretty. You would get artifacts and place them on a map to make new areas, and if you put them down in the right spots or something, extra things would happen I think?

The game was called Z. It was developed by Bitmap Brothers.
The sequel was called Z: Steel Soliders.

This is an old game, I think I may have seen it in the original one of these threads...

All I remember is playing it when I was young and in the beginning you hopped into a turret and after you shot down all of the planes you hopped in a plane and went.... somewhere... it was hard as poo poo. I remember that.

You may or may not have been some cave man type creature. You were in a jungle like environment. You could get red orbs to power up. It was for the SNES. When you got these red orbs you turned into like, super sonic or some poo poo. Only I think you were tinted red. Yeah, if anyone figures this out I'll love you forever.

The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki?

I remember grabbing the shareware of this at a Radio Shack way back in the day because it was one of the rare games my parent's crappy Windows 3.1 computer could run. My friend thought it was hilarious because, well, Radiaki, and also because you start with a baseball bat and you go thwack ninjas with it for some reason. I thought it was poo poo because, well, it was poo poo.

I remember seeing previews for this game in theaters not too long ago, as I remember, it was a war game where Europe and Asia fought in a post-apocalyptic, nuclear winter...I thought it was Lost Planet.

That's honestly all I can remember...maybe I'm crazy and it was Lost Planet, but I specifically remember the whole "Europe v. Asia" thing. I'm probably going to feel like an idiot if someone knows it.

Oh man. There was a CD my dad got us kids when we were younger, came with a bunch of game demos. One of my favorites was some sort of 3D pilot game where you flew a blocky ship slowly through a desert and destroyed poo poo. There were other ships and tanks trying to shoot you down, and you could find different weapons, like lasers and missiles.

One part I remember very clearly was a part where you flew through a giant Egyptian sphinx statue, shooting blocks and avoiding moving walls.

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? I'd love to figure out what game it was so I can find out if it ever became free/abandonware.

edit for clarity: For the longest time I thought it was Descent, but none of the screenshots I find of Descent look the same. Similar style though, but you could have your ship in first-person or third-person views.

I remember playing this shareware game that you could buy for $20 that was 2d-ish and had your spaceship and a few other opponents...you would shoot your projectiles from weak ones to stronger ones and the planets around you would affect the shot. Your opponents also typed text based insults out...it was a turn based strategy game that was totally awesome from what I can remember. I wanted to buy it so bad :(

I think it also had online play as well. I've been wanting to find this game for ages.

I'm looking for a game I used to play on a Sega Megadrive. It was a platform game and at the start of the game you had no weapons or way to kill the enemies. You got weapons and Items from a shop or a minigame between levels. The graphics were cartoony looking.

It was made in 1998, in Europe, and was kinda like a Settlers 2 ripoff. You'd have to assemble your armies like lego blocks, in the sense that there's about a million bloody things you have to bring together just to make one useless foot soldier. Also apparently serfs are as dense as iron, which is appropriate given that when one pointing one way meets one pointing the other, they stick together with cosmic stupidity.

A PSX horror SRPG game where you were trapped inside a mansion that wouldn't let you out and you fought things that had giant baby heads and stuff like that.

Edit: And a PC game I played, way back in 1999 where the first level had you as a turret shooting down UFOs and then had you escorting tanks as a helicopter. And the next level had you as a turret shooting alien uboats. It was a very simple game.

There's this old PC adventure game from the 90s that I used to love as a kid but forgot.

You're a caveman, and the view is from the side. You can craft some basic stuff like a hatchet then go out and kill animals or other cavemen. I remember never getting too far despite trying my best, so I want to go back and kick the game's rear end now that I'm older.

Sounds like Sapiens but that was way earlier than the 90s.

EDIT: poo poo. They remade it in the 90s!

EDIT 2: I have one. It's a very early FPS on the PS1. It was set on Mars (I think). Some levels were inside a space station, and some were outside. One gun shot blue electric poo poo. It wasn't anything to do with Red Faction. That's all I've got. :(

This one has been bugging me for a while...

It was an MMORPG on the Mplayer service. I'm not 100% sure if it was while Mplayer had that specific name (since it went through a couple revisions before Gamespot or whoever bought it out) but it was during the time that it was quite popular.

In the game you played a person that went to some dream realm while you slept and had to do battle with Nightmares that looked like they were straight out of Alien. I think there were different 'Spheres' of magic for you to learn as you went through the levels but that part is pretty fuzzy. Also you got an awesome looking dagger to stab the Nightmares with.
