Yodzilla posted:I'm drawing a blank here but was there some 3D adventure/platformer/puzzle game for the PS3 and 360 where you're a young boy who works together with some big friendly monster to...do something. Explore the world and defeat some evil probably. I remember it being fairly colorful and cutesy. Was it Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom? Shine posted:My girlfriend is looking for a game she played in grade school (so early/mid-90's) that was "similar to Lemmings, except you were solving puzzles and the characters were elf-like things." That's about as much as she could recall. Any ideas? It's been mentioned but it sounds like Gobliiins. Here's a Good Old Games link with plenty of pics: http://www.gog.com/game/gobliiins_pack

Caufman posted:I have only seen screenshots of this obscure game. It's definitely a horror game, its imagery inspired by a nightmarish interpretation of the Japanese/Shinto hell. The interface reminded me of Encarta's Mind Maze, and the art was drawn instead of rendered. It could have come from the 90's. Hakkesshu posted:Cosmology of Kyoto? Hakkesshu posted:Yes, definitely, if you can find a copy and get it working. There's nothing else quite like it. Hal Incandenza posted:Man I haven't thought about Cosmology of Kyoto in a loooooooooooooooong time. Nice call Hakkesshu. Lutha Mahtin posted:I've never heard of this game but apparently you can get it on the Internet Archive: Cosmology of Kyoto. I'm downloading it now, so I don't know what it takes to get it running. Someone linked this in one of the threads, maybe even this one or possibly the Horror Games thread but you can get a mostly preconfigured dosbox version from this twitter link: https://twitter.com/rachelfails/status/326382344695058432 There's a readme in the zip file to create a shortcut if you don't know how to work dosbox. Windows Defender didn't find anything but scan it with your preferred AV of choice if you're paranoid. I played it before and it went off without a hitch.

Corla Plankun posted:When I was a kid in the 90s (maybe very early 2000s, but I doubt it) there was an arcade game at the laundromat that was an extremely offensive (to my mom) fighting game where all the characters were adherents of world religions. I remember very clearly a totem pole-looking dude that I was super good with, but I googled the game later and learned that he was more of an indigenous central-american looking guy. I can't seem to remember enough about it right now to google it again :/ I think it had a grandiose name like CLASH OF HEROES or something but I am not sure about that at all. Yeah. World Heroes. You're describing Mudman.

Metroixer posted:here's one that bothered me for a while. my brother either rented or bought and then quickly returned an og xbox game that seemed to take place in some underwater colony. Characters ran through these transparent glass tubes beating up large mobs of enemies. I guess it was an action game like GoW or DmC but the mobs were big enough that Dynasty Warriors gameplay might have been more appropriate? The character designs were pretty colorful/over-the-top, reminded me of Legend of Dragoon, and I'm pretty sure it was a Japanese game. Does this ring any bells for anyone The only thing that comes to my mind is Crimson Sea but I don't think it's what you're talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTHqOVIj_0Y
