I take both the stock and the ACOG if given them but to drop that much on them for your M1A just seems crazy to me.

Dig that his left forearm is actually forward of the muzzle. Yeah I know it's "only" a 22 but I prefer to keep my limbs behind the gun no matter the caliber.

In think that may just be a casual hold, but pinky-free grips are not uncommon. I've read that the pinky supposedly unbalances the gun by putting unnecessary pressure on the bottom of the grip, possibly causing you to shot low. I can't say I take too much stock in it, though.
