I decided something along the lines of "mental gymnastics" would have been more precisely what I meant. Then I decided I had put too much mental effort into a post on the internet and that no one would probably notice anyway. I guess I was wrong. PS that Mosin is by a wide margin the best thing in that picture.

Standard SKS stocks are very short and can be uncomfortable to shoot with if you're tall. I've never tried the T6 before so I can't comment on build quality and the thing is certainly not at all attractive, but if it extended the length of pull to a comfortable level and didn't fall apart I couldn't fault a tall person for owning one. But then again, a $10 slip on rubber recoil pad solved the LOP problem for me and didn't cost me $75 (and doesn't look loving stupid). Also

Yeah, that one just pushes my buttons because it's a major concept in holocaust/war crimes scholarship, and I end up TA'ing those sorts of classes a lot. I think I've had to run over that term with undergrads three semesters in a row now, first in a Holocaust class, then a WW2 class, then a class on 20th C. Euro when we got to Yugoslavia and the ethnic cleansing there.
