I dunno I kind of like the magazine capacity my M9.
I got to shoot the D.S.S.'s P229 at a recent range qual and it felt high centered to me.
I mean 13(+1) vs 15 (+1) may not seem like that big a deal. But If I had to choose, I'd go with the M9. Don't get me wrong, I loving love SIGs. But for the mission we have, the M9 is better suited.

Why though? don't Law enforcement have physical fitness tests like in the Military? You would think it would be a prerequisite to be able to run a 19 minute 3 miler. Or to be able to do X amount of Pull ups or X amount of crunches in a certain amount of time.

Shotguns to, you hit the slide release and go half mast. With your support hand you reach either over or under and feel for a chambered shell. The you then slam the slide foreward and immediately pull back on it slightly to ensure it is back in battery.

It could be done, a single stack 1911 with an extended magazine inserted. Take the baseplate off the mag, weld on a feeding chute. The backpack would be the tricky part. You could either have a mechanism that kept continous pressure within the feeding shoot by having the motor always "on" or a pull start type spring dealy hooked to a sensor that is wound up by an electric motor after so many rounds are fired.

You could make it so the backpack has 3 slots to except Calico magazines They could be dropped in and removed on the fly. Or just have one big cavity with little slots so as to funnel to rounds to the feeding motor. Kinda like
