Anyone else have a buddy who wrote scripts for Trade Wars? It was great at first but then it became boring. We became so powerful so quickly that nobody else on the board could keep up. It was just running around, stripping planets of their resources and selling everything for a profit. Nobody could touch us, not even the Cabal.

My local BBS also had a hangman game which got weird. If you solved the word, you got to pick the next word and other people would try to solve it, and whoever won got to pick the next word, etc. There was one guy who, whenever he solved someone else's word, would always pick "sepulchral" as the new word. I don't think he understood how the game worked.

I had a Volksmodem 12 on my C64.

Edit: Also had a cassette tape drive, with "Gortek and the Microchips."

I never used scripts for TradeWars but I did host a game on my BBS when I was a youngster. It had to have been around 87-88 or thereabouts. I ran it on my 386DX 33.
