No proprietary parts, but it does have an available 20-rd magazine. Even the Mini-30 has a 20-rounder now.

You can get 90-round drums, too. What makes the 20-round magazine special is that Ruger is actually making them available to non-law enforcement from the factory.

There are videos of people using those briefcases with airsoft guns. A few are homemade, but there's no reason a real MP5 wouldn't fit.
