This is my rivertank.![]() ![]() It's not as bright as the camera makes it look. Pretty hard to get an accurate and detailed picture of. Stock: 5 Pristella Tetra 2 Bloodfin Tetra (was supposed to be 3 but the guy netted a Flame Tetra and I didn't notice until I was home) 1 Flame Tetra 6 Gold (aka Brass) Tetra 4 Longfin Blue Danios plus 1 Fire Bellied Toad. I'd like to keep some newts but am afraid they would poo poo the water up too much. I'll probably get a couple more toads at some point though.

Well, that's actually a kit that is (was? - it's kinda hard to find now) made by Perfecto. I copied a lot of ideas from this site, like using silicone and very small gravel to make the plastic more textured and realistic. Unfortunately, I could only find the center section for sale. It came with another piece for a 20 tall tank, but I already had a 20 regular and just used that. If I ever found the kit for a 55 like in that site, I would snap it up in a second. The toughest thing is finding fish that will stay in the bottom pool, they all tend to want to swim as far upstream as possible, which makes for a very crowded upper section and empty lower part. The Pristellas are the only species I have put in there so far who reliably have no interest in going upstream.
