Here's my first bike, a new-to-me 2001 EX250. Love the cheesy graphic decals that look like holdovers from the 90s. Unfortunately she's been sitting in a storage locker for many years, so I have the privilege of paying the stealership a nice sum of money to get it clean, running well, and safe. I will do my own maintenance in the future, but I wanted a decent baseline/sanity check to begin.

It also looks like it's been down once, but it's only got cosmetic damage. Some scuffs and two cracks on the lower fairings, a scuffed left mirror, and scratched bar-ends. The latter two will be replaced in time.

Meet Nene, my 2001 Kawasaki Ninja. I just started riding in November, and after dozens of hours of parking lot practice, she and I are happily commuting to work in this unusually warm and dry winter.

Sploosh. I've always wondered how those ride. Is it comfortable enough to tour?

I rode it 200 miles home from the dealer, straight across 3/4 of PA. I can say that the nice, wide seat and rear set position really made her much more comfortable than my Ninja 250. I can also relax my hands (supporting my weight with my rear end/feet) much better on the Monster.

(It's actually pretty great)

I dunno bro, if I put spikes on the windscreen and put a "DAYTONA" logo on it will I be cool??? Oh wait, I forgot I actually know how to turn my bike.
