In Angel, season 4 episode 13 "Salvage" there is a scene where Angel confronts the rock beast in a warehouse. He's throwing some insults at him and there is some truly awful ADR where he calls him a lackey, a toady and a lickspittle. Does anyone know or can read lips well enough to know what word the show had dubbed over and replaced with lickspittle?

Dont blame the council. None of you a-holes has any idea just how expensive it is to run and fund an entire pharmaceutical plant for the express purpose of manufacturing vamp-sedation pills in order to conduct elaborate ritualized slayer-killing tests. It burns an enormous amount of council money and man power, not to mention the high employee turnover rate through having to fire so many people for asking what is the point of running a pharmaceutical plant that ultimately only takes an incredible toll on the ranks of potentials.

Cordelia's character had to appear above the scoobies by both looking older and acting detached so that there could be the arc of her joining and splitting from the gang. In other shows her type of character can go painfully wrong as evidenced by what Tori Spelling on 90210 was supposed to be before she sank to finally become believable as Ms. David Silver. Cordelia, on her own, managed to prop up and anchor an entire invisible social hierarchy in a highschool full of 1-episode transients, and on a show where it was absolutely necessary for the main cast to be seen and felt as a collection of outsiders. The whole show does not work if Buffy is held up as the coolest kid around.

The worst part about Connor was the pre-Quor'Toth continual use of crying baby audio to convey "Hey wow, baby here now, new baby everybody! Don't forget the new baby" The miracle child should have been a little less colicky.

Just in case anyone was wondering, "Bound", Charisma Carpenter's Asylum Films knockoff of 50 Shades of Grey but with an older woman/younger man plot, well, it was not very good. Not even the acting chops of former NFL star Terrell Owens, playing himself, could save it.

I guess I'm the staunch main cast defender, but Nicholas Brendon's job wasn't to be much more than cardboard. He was a spring-loaded comic foil If he was too good of an actor, he'd come across as pathetic-maudlin and the show would be trending towards My So Called Life with rubber masks and spirit gum. If he shone too bright comedically he'd slip into being Screech Powers.

I think his main crime was being a huge outspoken George W Bush supporter and thereby an Iraq War enthusiast while living in Hollywood. Where he is instead supposed to be a passionate Democrat and continue to silently push the massive tax on the poor/millionaire's welfare that is the residuals system and Hollywood's limitless copyright extensions. And he pissed off that really snippy ex-NFL kicker on twitter. I don't recall him tangibly doing something that makes him an awful person.

I think its down to a gin martini ratio of death threats to ethics in toy reviewing. Started out sweet on the vermouth of threats but got drier as tastes changed. Lots of angry movements have awful people doing awful things in them. I'm not opposed to saving the environment just because car dealerships get torched every few years. Or, and again back to Whedon, its like if your hired Mmmm-fashnik and he deviated from the script to attack the slayer rather than rob the bank. You'd do your best to tell Mm' what to do right, but at some point you realize that the demon you created is out of your control and will have to be put down, by, ironically the slayer he tried to kill. To that point, if something good happens and every threat-sender is arrested and thrown in jail, and not broken out ala Billy Blim, do we then go back to a world where its kosher for kelepek to use his pulpit to push business his friends way with no simple prior disclosure as every other industry seems to not screech angrily about having the burden of? All sorts of worse and more captive enthusiast journalist can say things like 'I drove this on a test track in Valencia, furnished by the Daewoo motors corporation" And to answer your question, of course Andrew still had a little evil left in his evil heart.

AS Head not showing up at the LA branch of a theoretical sixth season of Angel was the greatest tragedy. And Alexis Denisof's imbd shows anything but disappointment. A recurrable voice role in both The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy slotted in between his recurring series roles? Even without being married to someone who will be earning money until the heat death of the universe through syndication of that awful Neal Patrick Harris show, that's a lucrative career he has going and his roles will never depend on youthful looks or buzz-y marketing-oriented casting. He's got it made and has a great career ahead of him. If you want to look at unfortunate career trajectory the Buffyverse's supporting women like Mercedes McNabb, Caulfield and Juliet Landau are disheartening. And especially Kennedy's actress, though most people would probably say she deserved no better. (I never hated her, oh why must I be plagued with these controversial opinions!)

Presumably the Watcher pathway is taking A levels a year early then a rush through Oxbridge (They'd have already read most the material prior) so shave a year off there as well. No GAP year either. So they'd be starting Day One at the council as a Probate Junior Adjutant Viewer, from there you'd add two years as they survive the practicum candidate thresher of infrequent, simulated, and later controlled condition, exposure to a single drugged vampire, then six months to get a Potential Management & Invigilation certification and you are off to the races, or more specifically, Sunnydale, as a bona fides Watcher of The Council. So, twenty four and a half years old.
