I'm sure this question has come up a lot in the past, but I don't remember seeing it recently.

I'm addicted to the Rifftrax Shorts, having bought the last 5 or 6 a couple days ago and I love all of them. I get paid today and I'm planning on buying more. Which shorts do you recommend? I'll probably end up buying anywhere from 6 to 10, depending on what's recommended.

Also, being released tomorrow I guess but for some reason the page is up, a VOD release of some Three Stooges shorts that don't have Rifftrax commentary, but are hosted/contain interstitial materials from The Film Crew trio.

I'd like to thank everyone for the advice about the shorts. I bought every short that was suggested to me and they are all great. My favorite is a tie between Drugs Are Like That, One Got Fat and Things Are Different Now. The baseball scene in "Things Are Different Now" is one of my favorite Rifftrax bits of all time.

High School Musical?

Those bastards are doing great at getting me to watch lovely movies. Almost everyone I know (including a few good looking women) has been trying to get me to watch Titanic for the last 8 years and I have refused, because the movie looked incredibly stupid and was also about 12 hours too long.

So when do I watch it? Alone on an Friday night.

However, afterward I watched a few Star Wars Rifftrax clips and I've decided that Colt 45 references with Lando will never not be funny. Especially the one in Empire where all 4 guys in the studio stumble over each other to make the obvious reference. But my favorite will always be, "I hope the Death Star shield does not work everytime. Unlike Colt 45. Which, as we all know, does. Work every time, that is."

I watched the High School Musical riff and it was especially painful. The jokes were top notch though, especially the ones about the creepy brother and sister. It was a real fun experience watching this with my younger brother since he's been exposed to the Disney Channel stuff through school. I would only recommend this one if you're die hard into Rifftrax. Great riff, but this was a one time watch for me.

Also, I heard on twitter that sometime next month a riff of the awful Clash of the Titans remake might be coming. The jokes practically write themselves with that one.

You weren't lying. Just started watching the Riff and the movie is painfully, painfully terrible. The riffing, however, is top notch.

Moody: "I'm here because Dumbledore asked me. End of story. Good-bye. The End! Any questions?"

Bill: "Ah, yes, uh, *bleep* magnets, how do they work?!"

will never, ever not be hilarious. I will never know what is said for the thirty seconds following that remark because I will be laughing too hard

According to Wikipedia, Inception will be released on February 1st and Order of the Phoenix will be the 15th of February. I can't wait for either of them, since The Dark Knight and the other four Harry Potters were solid gold.

Professor Moody: "I'm here because Dumbledore asked me. End of story, goodbye, the end! Any questions?"
Bill: "Uh, yes, *bleep* magnets, how do they work?"

I just watched the Rifftrax for Wicker Man.

I did not enjoy, I laughed at maybe 3 or 4 jokes and the rest were pretty awful. Kevin/Servo is loving awful, every single one of his jokes is some stupid obscure reference/singing. By the end I was just ignoring the rifftrax and enjoying the actual movie.

Also I'm glad they've stopped having disembaudio "sync up" like every 10 minutes like the did during this one. its annoying.

If you honestly think that the movie Wicker Man is more interesting/enjoyable than the Rifftrax of said movie, I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps you are more suited to jokes you don't have to think about. For instance, Family Guy.

Also, I seem to remember my copy of The Wicker Man having Disembaudio every few minutes (Although I could be wrong). Are you sure you got the original track from the website and not a file copy?

Damnit, Rifftrax.

I decided to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy (with accompanying Rifftrax, of course). In the mood for more Rifftrax, I decided to start watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, since it's a pretty good riff. About ten minutes in, I realized that I had unintentionally started an Orlando Bloom movie marathon.

I'm about halfway through the Inception riff and it's pretty great so far. There are a lot of pauses in the riff, though, probably so you can understand what the hell is going on.

Don't forget, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is released tomorrow! I definitely can't wait, since they've all been gold so far. I expect this one to be pretty good because HP5 was a horrible, horrible movie that consisted entirely of montages of Umbridge being a bitch to people.

On that note, I will be watching all 4 currently-released Harry Potter riffs today, in anticipation for tomorrow's release.

Next Tuesday we get Birdemic: Shock and Terror.

edit: I'm also going to watch the riff of Casablanca tonight, because it's the golden height of comedy and I figured Valentine's Day and all

Yeah, this is a bummer Granted, I don't spend that much money on them (My friends generally buy the full-length riffs and I buy the shorts), but I definitely want Rifftrax to keep producing comedy for me. I don't know how many times I've been in a bad mood, then immediately cheered up after watching a short or two.

I'm only half an hour in to the Order of the Phoenix riff and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. My only fear is that this might be the only time I watch it, because of my overwhelming hatred of this movie.

The HP riffs have always been great, with each one better than the last and I can't wait for the last three.

gently caress. You guys weren't kidding.

I thought it was standard bad-movie levels of bad, but this...I'm only ten minutes in and I've seen better acting from children in local tv commericals. I've never not finished a Rifftrax, but that may change.

The X3 riff was pretty good, I think. I did start it at 3 AM and don't recall much, but I do remember thinking that The Last Stand is a whole lot worse than I had previously thought. 5 years ago was a very different time in my life, I guess.

Sort of hoping they try to riff with a nice buzz going.

They didn't spit out the bacon two weeks ago, so I should think not.

Also, the thing I love about Rifftrax is even after I've seen the same riff a dozen times, I'll always hear a hilarious line that I somehow missed before. Like a couple of days ago, I heard one during the riff of The Phantom Menace that I always forgot about, but made me laugh pretty hard. During the podrace, when the Tuskan Raiders hold up their guns and start shooting onto the track, Mike says, "A well-regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people of KICK SOME rear end shall not be infringed!"

edit: My favorite rear end-kicking Rifftrax line will always be, "And now, the winter of kick-your-rear end is made glorious summer by my foot!" from Star Trek VI.

For Transformers 3, I opened up two instances of VLC like a jackass and then had to resync every time I got up to go to the bathroom.

The Harry Potter riffs are some of my favorites. I've heard the riff of Goblet of Fire so many times that it doesn't feel right when I see the movie without it.

Then again, I think every Rifftrax is one of my favorites. I don't think I've heard a single bad riff yet. But I'm about to venture into Mike-only territory for the first time and I'm a little nervous. I like the idea of 3 guys going to a movie and making fun of it, because that's the sort of thing I do with my friends.

Just one riffer is more like when a woman asks me to watch a movie with her that I don't want to see at all, but I do it anyway because I want to spend time with that particular lady and I have to pretend like I enjoyed the film if I want to see her again, so I make jokes to myself in order to pass the time. (Look at that giant awful run-on sentence I just made.)

Except that there's no lady in my room right now and it's just me watching Over The Top.

Plus, I planned on watching the riffs of all the Avengers movies before going to watch The Avengers movie later this year. And this makes all of them, I'm pretty sure, except for the Hulk movies (Which I probably wouldn't watch anyway. I hate Hulk movies, since they're always 2 hours of The Hulk fighting the US military, coupled with a brief but unnecessary love plot).
