They say they get around 90 MPG, but I would put it around 75 or so. Still not bad. It will also get up to around 55 MPH even with my big butt on it.

125 will get about 90mpg, my 150 gets around 80mpg

I can get my 150 up to 70 mph actual, with a couple of upgrades

Put new cush drive rubbers on the KLR the old ones had 33000 miles on them and had some freeplay. Also changed the oil in the KLR and my scooter I've been trying to sell.

Yesterday just as the KLR rolled over to 33000 miles, I flipped over the trip odometer. Soon the odometers will be all 3s. Truly a crowning achievement in the sport of motorbiking.

So what makes an MX helmet different besides the shape? What does that difference mean between the street and offroad exactly? I've never understood it.

you can wear goggles

its also easier to stick in the mouthpiece for a camelbak for dual sport riders

they're a lot louder though, especially for wind noise. And if you get going much more than 45 or 60 they tend to try to fly off your head

When my bike was mounted on my bike (funny to say that for some reason) it was stable well up to 90+ on the highway.

So I just got an oil analysis back on my KLR from blackstone. Everything looked good except aluminum was high. They want me to change at 1500 miles to get out excess metal and go from there.

Hmm, high on aluminum, magnesium, iron and zinc. I would seriously inspect that engine and gearbox before pouring more oil into it. How old is that bike? Are you still breaking it in?

33000 miles, they mentioned that everything was normal for what they see of kawasaki's this old, except for possibly the aluminum

keep in mind that the pattern needs to be the opposite of the rear wheel, so that it is effective under heavy braking.

All they do is direct water away from the contact patch when you're rollin in water, or, in offroad cases, grip things so you're not sliding all over the place.

Today was the unveiling of the 2011 HD bikes, and jeezus, it's like wandering through Whole Foods or the JC Penney Misses Department. Merlot? Apple Green? Candy Root Beer? White Hot Denim? Psychedelic Purple?

Since the Roadster has been replaced with the XR, they're apparently taking the Sportster line even lower. Yes, in addition to the Low, there's a Super Low (in addition to the slammed-by-definition Nightsters, Irons, and 48s. Chiropractors take note.

And if you happen to see me on a Superglide Custom in Dark/Light Candy Root Beer, yes, I am a total hypocrite.
