Ma, both fights he tries to end as soon as possible, he doesn't waste time. Sasaki, "peh peh I'm the greatest" *crap* "okay I did it". [overconfident] Kenichi is trying to befriend the girl and I figure Shigure would be laid back enough to try and help him talk it out. There are 9 masters in Yami and 6 Ryouzanpaku masters, this arguably means that three of the good guys will fight twice against Yami. So far the only Yami vs. Ryouzanpaku fight that counts is Akisame vs. Alexander. Sakaki vs. Christopher (? the assassin guy), Ma Kensei vs Li Tenmon (?), and Shigure vs. sword guy (forget his name too) don't count as they aren't part of the "one shadow nine first". We aren't guaranteed that all of the masters will battle, but I think its a decent bet that Ryouzanpaku will most likely have to face all of them before this over. Hell maybe Kenichi will take down one of them towards the end, but for now we've still got eight more Yami members to account for. Of course some sort of massive melee might help quicken the pace but for now we're only technically 1/9 of the way through or if we're going by disciples we're 3/9 or 4/9 (Odin is a wild card) of the way through.

Yeah I forgot Akisame, he seems to enjoy toying with people a little too much though you think? To be honest I don't think Odin is too happy with Ongata *especially considering how the guy crippled him* I predict near the end of the doujin we realize why Miu's dad went defunct and he tries to convince Kenichi to join the darkside or something. While having an over the top battle of Father Vs. Son involving throwing cows, tanks, and cars at each other in a battle of who's the worlds strongest man. anyways I hope the fights aren't all the same, I would like to see a good guy lose *albeit stay alive* before the fights are all over. I think its going to end up being Kenichi defeating Miu's dad at the end of the manga, thereby forcing Miu's dad to see what he has done, why it was wrong, and bring him back to the light side. All with a single uber punch to the face.

It was kind of confusing since they introduced Valkryie first and then brought in Freya's Valkryies without explaining Valkryie's connection to them for awhile. When I was reading through that section I spent a chapter wondering if the translators had hosed up.

I was just rereading some chapters and I have to say the comedy in HSDK is better than most other action manga. Granted it gets recycled a lot but in the most recent chapter when Hanoka hops on Hermit and then Appachi to try and go help Kenichi was hilarious. This isn't a major spoiler, but its from the most recent chapter so I figured I would throw it in. I also just read the conclusion to the Boris Kenichi fight on the field trip. The page with Hermit and Kenichi talking is great.

But it wasn't fought to the end and both parties are still in play, so I'm guessing the two will have a rematch. Of course, that means I have no idea who will fight the jujitsu master now.

Besides the only guarenteed fight is Sasaki Vs. When a character says that they are willing to give up their life fighting a specific person odds are they will indeed fight them.

Plus the only reason why he flipped out was because Akisame was loving with him to begin with, a guy like that would try to even the score. I however am finally happy as to who's going to fight Kenichi, though I'm confident it's not going to go the same way the last Yomi fight turned out.

I think Miu (or possibly Renka?) will have to fight or Kenichi will have his "I'll never hit a woman" attitude removed by Rachel and then he'll proceed to kick her rear end. Rachel is on a totally different level from Spark, he won't be able to win with just Jujitsu unless he really really levels up.

It's not just that, you're going to see mind games and other BS that Tirawit isn't capable of which is why I said what I said earlier. Besides, I call the fight starting with Kenichi hanging out with others and they can't protect him regardless.

My only disagreement is that Tirawit was all about mind games. That's how he beat Kenichi. First Tirawit had Kenichi beat up the karate club who he had improperly trained and showed him how his precious fists were actually deadly weapons. Then Tirawit beat him in the actual fight by forcing Kenichi to hold up on a punch by dropping his guard, he knew Kenichi wouldn't hit him if he was just standing there. He then leveled Kenichi in the gap this created. This led to Kenichi's "death" as a martial artist, if not for Shigure and her crazy weapon hunting (although I'm sure the other masters could have fixed him too) Kenichi would be unable to continue as a martial artist because of the fear Tirawit implanted in him, both of his own power and of dying. Rachel's gimmick is that she is all about having a show/attention/a spectacle. She will only fight if its in public so I'm not sure how this one will work out. Kenichi and the others can't let it happen at the school because that would just be way too nuts.

I.E a different type of mind game *OMG Kenichi yer hawt lets make the kissings ^_^*, not only that unlike the other characters Rachel appears to be the type who can acctually take a beating *albeit a pretty weak one* in the earlier chapters when she first bumps into him in the underground fighting arena. My idea is that her and her brother are never too far away and that she's going to try to mentally toy with him before she goes all out. And if anyone tries to help the brother will be there to keep the others at bay. If I'm lucky when tirawit comes back someone else will take him out, perhaps Takeda or Natsu. *edit* You forget the result of Tirawit "killing" Kenichi made him stronger than before, he's no longer worried about killing his opponents or being killed as much as he used to. Which is my reason to belive how he KO'ed Takeda the way he did. That or he learned from scraggly hair's victory. either or. *second edit* you know I completely missed the poing on Rachel's whole fighting gimmick, I could be wrong completely. I guess we'll just have to see. *third edit* unless of course the fight happens in the underground arena. Munoma fucked around with this message at Jan 29, 2009 around 07:10 |

Diego is seriously off-kilter for a One-Shadow Nine-Fist member. I mean he's never done anything even evil has he? It's not like the other people who are hiring assassins, vandalizing their disciples or wandering around kicking the shite out of dojos. Diego's just chilling out in the spotlight the whole time. Unless loving the limelight is the mother of all social taboos in Japan. I wonder if he's gonna turn face? Nilbop fucked around with this message at Feb 12, 2009 around 14:15 |

Probally not, one of the things I like about Diego is the fact that you don't want to hate him dispite the fact that he's a villian. Just because he isn't as evil as the rest of the bunch doesn't merit him a hero, He does things for his own selfish intentions therefor he is a villian. I can't wait to see what he can do however.

I wouldn't be suprised if some of Diego's todo assigned assassination victiims mentioned in the previous chapter where either invited to be spectators in the audience, or black mailed in to being there. Otherwise how can he say he'll deal with Ryozanpaku and those other assignmets easily. Edit: Forgot how to spell the dojo's name. I'm surprised they brought Spark back, I thought she had served her purpose, whatever it was. I wonder if Li Tenmon is on the ship then as well, it does seem like his kind of underworld event. It will be interesting to see how the dynamic of this works out, I'm guessing we'll get a D&D "escape from the exploding place" style finish. The best would be if Kenichi changes his beliefs in regards to fighting girls. He's got to realize he's putting Renka into danger due to his ideals, which is sort of a catch-22.
