Anyone having problems with the Last Read Post functionality on SA? Sometimes it opens two or three pages back from where I've read in a thread. :(

I have no idea if it's a bug or a dodgy preference or what.

It's not like this is a 5 page thread. Time to trawl unless you have a link?

Okay! So. As of today, youtube no longer works. Instead of displaying videos it just yells at you to update... despite the fact Flash is up to date, and plays fine in every other browser. :wtc: The Opera forums are absolutely no help, either.

Same here.

Is there any way to get rid of the big red O button in 10.52? They seem to have disabled the "Remove from Toolbar" context menu option.

It's a bug with it caching 302 redirects. I submitted a bug report for it.

Funny thing is, it only does it if you use middle click.

Ctrl + Shift + Click also opens in a new background tab (or Shift + Click for a new focused tab), but doesn't suffer from the caching issue.

Bizzare.

I too have just noticed this. So weird.

Are asking whether the ones provided by SA in the control panel are broken?

Because on Opera 9.64 I have not had a problem with them ever.

Yes. It works fine in 10.10 and earlier.

Why didn't you just install this UserJS that was mentioned multiple times here?

code:
// ==UserScript==
// @include [url]http://forums.somethingawful.com/*[/url]
// ==/UserScript==
window.addEventListener(
	'load',
	 function(e) {
		if ( !document.body ) return;
		var thread_list_link_pos = window.location.toString().indexOf("forumdisplay.php");
		thread_list_link_pos += window.location.toString().indexOf("bookmarkthreads.php");
		thread_list_link_pos += window.location.toString().indexOf("usercp.php");
		if ( thread_list_link_pos <= 0 ) return;
		var links = document.getElementsByTagName("a");
		var now = (new Date()).getTime();

		for (var i = 0; i < links.length; i++) {
			var new_post_pos = links[i].href.indexOf("goto=newpost");
			new_post_pos += links[i].href.indexOf("goto=lastpost");
			if ( new_post_pos <= -2 ) continue;

			links[i].href += "&now=" + now;
		}
	},
	false
);

I can't get this to work. Does it have to have a certain filename or something?

This is probably easy to do, but....

I want to restrict the number of items downloading at a time without having to restrict the global number of connections.

If I cannot do this in the program, and someone knows a good download manager for Mac that actually deals with passworded download sites effectively, and plays nice with Opera that would be good too.

What kind of passworded download sites?

Rapishare, Megaupload, Megavideo

Use jdownloader. It can use premium logins for those sites, or automatically download after the time limit expires for free downloads. It can auto input captchas. It can auto unrar your files. It is good!

Go to the forum options and set "Adjust the page position to the top of the requested post after the page loads" to "Off". That way the forums won't deliver the Javascript that adjusts things after the fact, and Opera will just rely on the page anchor to position the page, which is how things are supposed to work but other browsers like to gently caress it up.

Opera will probably wait until the page loads completely (i.e. all images) before it scrolls to the right spot, but this always works for me.

Opera doesnt even load the correct page. It is caching redirects incorrectly.
