Suppressor/foregrip/IRNV A way to counter INRV is to wear black camo, it makes you much much harder to see relative to other camo types. Suppressor/foregrip/IRNV is the way to go if minimap spotting is on, if its off or you're fighting guys head on (like in metro or bazaar) then go for heavy barrel/foregrip/IRNV. Most guys I'm seeing are using either of those combos with one of these guns for assault: fs2000, kh-2002, m16a3, an-94.

I've discovered that that one map that's entirely in the city streets (some French name I can't remember right now) is basically party time with the 870. Almost every space on the map, the engagement distances are right in the sweet spot where it only takes one or two torso hits for a kill. Rolling as a medic with the 870 in Rush mode is a points extravaganza.

Sucks when the other team has like five guys on mortars, though, just nailing the bridge crossings over and over.

There are a few courtyards that bottle-neck in a way that lets a decent mortar guy or two just completely lock down huge chunks of the other teams, and that gets pretty annoying. I'm mostly just excited that there's actually a map where the shotgun isn't an extremely situational weapon, and can actually be competitive throughout. Also Tehran Highway is the worst and I hate it. I've seen some people mention getting rubber-banding on it, and it does the same thing on 360 so I have no idea what's up with that.

Hellz to the loving yeah! I got my HD6950 today, you might have heard that some of those have extra unlockable shaders. Mine came with a bios switch, I switched it to the secondary bios before putting it in my PC, and it came pre-unlocked. All I have to do now is overclock it a little and then I have a 6970 for the price of a 6950.

The SOFLAM is the best thing ever and the closest thing to being the commander other than maybe the UAV. Set one up somewhere where it can get a good view of everything and watch every sniper on the whole drat map show themselves and spend 30+ seconds doing nothing but shoot at it ineffectually since it has a ton of health. Then spot all of them and watch your teammates pick them off while they continue to shoot at the irritating red light in the distance. Enjoy the 20 points you spent almost a minute getting buddy, hope it was worth getting killed twice because you kept giving away your position. And then you just set the thing back up again and continue spotting EVERYONE because it has a long range zoom that you can use from relative safety. And there's nothing funnier than watching a javelin fly confusedly in circles around a helicopter before one-hit killing it and everyone inside. Even if you don't get any kills directly there's something satisfying about target painting vehicles and watching them mill around before a rain of javelins smash into them. I just wish more people would actually use the javelin when they see someone bothering to paint targets for them. And that some maps like Tehran highway didn't have dumb verticle obstructions like the upper overpasses that they can hit.

Nooo NV bugged out again and I'm gonna have to restart Dead Money (put about 2 hours in so far, maybe a touch over) because Dog didn't spawn in the cell. Like, at all. gently caress. Going with that or shotgun most of the time now. Also yeah I was surprised to see the AT mines stick around after I had died. I guess they just allow you to put down 3 then the longest deployed one disappears?

Man some BF3 noobs in here. You can have (effectively?) unlimited mines deployed that persist till the round ends. Personally I've had 18 down before which is 3 lives with the extra explosives perk. Supposedly with the soflam the Javelin will top down attack automatically but I haven't messed with that since the manual way works as has already been detailed. Re: Recon should be used for the spawn beacon ability at least. Finding sneaky spots for it can be a game changer. Remember it has to be indoors or you'll parachute in which sucks 99% of the time.

I like the bipod on the machineguns but it is kind of annoying how it'll grab onto anything nearby whether or not you want to deploy it. Also with the mines so you can just reload from a support dude and lay some more mines? that's pretty awesome. I could swear when I was playing as support I couldn't lay down more than my carry limit of C4 (which also rules, blowing up tanks with them is still the best). The lens reflection is less a reflection and more a SHOOT ME HERE thing. Also getting sniped by a guy with a loving SKS (that is tapco'd the gently caress out) is just plain embarrassing.

Tried Dead Money again and Dog still doesn't spawn HELP ME ROPE KID ![]() I'd play some BF3 while I attempt to figure out what's wrong, but my last MP experience was pretty abysmal and not long after, it took to somehow loving up my shift key until I restart my PC, making both sprinting ingame and then everything else after I stop playing a colossal headache. Eh, maybe just a few rounds...

Because I know I've put 5 on a jihad jeep before so I doubt they have a limit either, just the whole despawn with death thing. Tank talk: the T-90 3x zoom gets meter lines for drop on the scope while the Abrams doesn't. This means I prefer playing as Russian for my tanking.

Remember that a 4x scope or lower doesn't reflect, apparently. Even on the large conquest maps, I've been doing fine with 4x, and using it for just such a reason. In other news: oftentimes being the only person on my team moving towards objectives is playing hell on my previously glorious K/D

The easiest way to sell is to hold alt and left click on an item on the sector overview window. Provided you enabled that in the ini (I can't recall if it is on by default or not) You can also change how much stuff sells for there. To buy stuff, go to the links page on AIMs website, then go to Bobby Ray's. Once you capture the Drassen airport the site will open and you can buy as much tactilol crap as you want. Be sure to bribe Pablo or whoever he is in the shed in the NW area of the Airport The harder way is to hunt down the merchants, there are a couple in different sectors. And they have very limited inventories. As for the ammo, I'd just give buns something that fires 9x19. You'll be drowning in it.
