Maybe you should just setup a checkpoint outside you're teams spawn and ask them some questions on where they'll be going, how long they'll be staying and the reason for their visit? If your team members won't play along there are plenty of vehicles you can inspect. I suck at the game too, but goons make anything worth while. You can always join us on L4D.

The biggest thing that gets you killed early on is not knowing maps (and thus not knowing where you're going to get ambushed from); the second-biggest thing is not having a team that works together to get a sufficient volume of fire to suppress entrenched peeps. Try playing as Insurgents on Sinjar for a while until you get the hang of weapons and movement, you're bound to get a few kills ambushing Marines coming up the hill regardless of your skill level.

Can anyone answer this question: How is L4D regarding firearms? What guns are there? How accurate/realistic is the damage? Does it take more than 1 shot to the head to take down a zombie? How many shots from a pistol, shotgun, or rifle? Also, can you barricade areas with furniture and stuff or is it just running and closing doors?

Did you just ask how realistic the damage modeling on zombies/mutants is? You can kill them with shots to center mass (how many depends on the gun), it's even fairly effective. Headshots are certainly much easier though. And furniture is not movable (except when the tank's around, if it's not nailed down, it might get you squished).

After playing Left 4 Dead all weekend the only thing I dislike is the unlimited ammo on the pistols. It would have added another level of tension if they limited the ammo and added in ammo sharing and weapon swapping between teammates.

Good L4D game tonight! Game gets better every time I play, which has only been 2 days. Besides the random glitch I was having which enabled me to click off screen, and ultimately minimizing L4D, it was really fun!

I always wake the witch. She will only attack the person that disturbed her so the rest of the team can just mow her down while you back away as fast as you can. 7 out of 10 times she doesn't catch me. If you play it on expert its a one hit death from her but on any other difficulty your teammates can just revive you. Me and my roommate play the game more like an extermination squad rather than people trying to get the gently caress out of there. Some pubbies dubbed me the psycho butler

Since the old Stalker threads in Games are long gone, can PLR or anyone please point me to a good wiki or guide or whatever on mod setup/troubleshooting? I'm running v1.4 with AMK & Float32 just fine, but for the life of me no other mods will work - Either manually installed or using Smart Mod Manager. I want to enjoy the Arsenal mod, or at the very least PLR's weapons.
